  • Patent number: 4384745
Abstract: A pressure reducer for hydraulic brake systems comprising a valve formed by the head of a spring-loaded piston and by a sealing ring which is urged by a spring against a step of the housing. Arranged between the spring and the sealing ring is an engaging plate which is carried along by the piston after the piston has travelled an amount smaller than the valve stroke. This results in an exactly defined valve stroke and at the same time results in a quick opening of the valve upon decrease of the inlet pressure.

  • Patent number: 4381499
Abstract: A monolithic integrable R-2R resistor network comprises a number of series resistors connected to a terminal resistor; and a plurality of 2R resistor units each capable of being switched by two electronic switches either to ground or to another reference point, a different plurality of 2R resistor units being coupled to the nodes between each of the series resistors, to the node between the terminal resistor and the last resistor of the series resistors and to the node ahead of the first resistor of the series resistors. To compensate for the effects of the variations of the switch resistances caused during manufacture by process parameter fluctuations upon the accuracy of a D/A converter, a switch structure is inserted at each of the nodes which, with respect to the two electronic switches, is of the same kind, and which is permanently in an electrically conducting state.

  • Patent number: 4377176
Abstract: A pressure reducer for hydraulic brake systems comprises a stepped piston carrying a sealing ring in a circumferential groove thereof. The sealing section of the sealing ring begins at the groove wall adjacent the outlet chamber and joins a transitional section of smaller diameter adjacent the inlet chamber. The sealing ring fills the groove essentially completely at least in the sealing section. Preferably the sealing ring abuts the bottom of the groove over its entire axial length. This results in a defined position for the sealing section without excessive friction and wear occurring during operation.

  • Patent number: 4375599
Abstract: Converters are known where input pulses are coupled to a detector stage via an adding device and a first integrating register. The detector stage provides an output signal relative to threshold values which increases, keep constant or reduce the contents of a second integrating register. The contents of the second register are coupled to the minus input of the adding device. The time variation of the input pulses may be coupled from the detector stage. According to the present invention the dynamic behavior, stability and suppression of disturbances is improved by differentiating the input pulse train, coupling this pulse train to the detector stage and to integrate the output of the detector stage with the integration factor being constantly adjusted to the output signal of the detector stage.

  • Patent number: 4375304
Abstract: Dual circuit pressure control valves for brake system are known in which the control pistons are located parallel to each other with each control piston controlling a different one of two brake circuits. Both control pistons are loaded by a common preloading force. The known arrangement is complicated in its construction and has a large overall length. According to the present invention, the construction is simplified and the overall length is reduced by providing a torsion spring which provides the preloading force acting on the control pistons via stationarily supported swivelling levers.

  • Patent number: 4366745
Abstract: A hydraulic booster comprising a booster piston, an annular piston bearing against the booster piston and a central piston which is movable within limits relative to the annular piston by the brake pedal to control flow of a pressurized fluid. The central piston and the annular piston are coupled together to move as a unit after the force of a spring is overcome. The central piston is subject to the pressure acting on the booster piston. In order to reduce the force reaction on the brake pedal, the central piston is operated by the brake pedal through a pin subjected to the pressurized fluid, the pin extending centrally through the annular piston in a sealed relationship thereto.

  • Patent number: 4365846
Abstract: Dual circuit brake force control units are known in which the initial preloading force is changeable dependent on the vehicle load. The preloading force is distributed to the control pistons by means of a lever. Due to the tolerances and erosion of the individual elements, considerable differences in pressure in both brake circuits may occur. Therefore, according to the present invention a lever is provided which directly acts on both control pistons and which is rotatable around an axis parallel to the direction of displacement of the control pistons and additionally around the longitudinal axis of the lever. The lever is in interaction with its housing mount at one support point at least and at two support points at the most with the support point or support points being located at least approximately in the longitudinal axis of the lever.

  • Patent number: 4362339
Abstract: Brake systems having an antiskid control apparatus are known in which pressure fluid is additionally supplied from a dynamic circuit into the static brake circuit when pressure fluid has been taken therefrom due to an antiskid control operation. In this situation, the known systems were not able to maintain the master cylinder pressure at a constant value. Therefore, according to the present invention a valve device is provided which is acted upon by the static master cylinder pressure in the opening direction and by the dynamic auxiliary pressure in the closing direction.

  • Patent number: 4361361
Abstract: In a dual-circuit pressure control valve for hydraulic brake systems, the control pistons disposed parallel to one another are each loaded by a first arm of an associated angular lever. Each of the levers have a second arm perpendicular to the first arm acted upon by a common tension spring disposed therebetween. The levers are located approximately in a plane defined by the axes of the control pistons. The tilting axes of the levers are disposed perpendicular to this plane and are disposed outside the axes of the control pistons. This results in a short overall length in both the axial and radial direction. In addition, a carrier device is provided which couples one of the control pistons with the lever of the other control piston after a small relative movement of the control pistons. This carrier device becomes effective upon failure of one brake circuit. The carrier device may be formed by extensions of the first arms which overlap one another with play.
