  • Patent number: 7021936
Abstract: An integral, one-piece silanated particle impregnated gutta percha core/cone technique employs a thin layer of a luting agent, such as glass ionomer cement with a machined gutta percha core/cone, precisely matches the preparation, thereby reducing leakage and achieving a hermetic seal. The hermetic seal is further enhanced by a mono-block bond that occurs between the silanated particles in the gutta percha and the appropriate chemical sealant. Optional cryogenic treatment of the gutta percha material changes its molecular weight, making it stiffer and conducive to forming an integral, one piece core/cone, without the need for a separate carrier core to install the tapered gutta percha core/cone within the root canal. Additionally, the tapered body of the core/cone may be reticulated in a slightly three dimensional texturized framework to increase surface area and therefore increase retention. Optional line demarcation indicia are also placed on the core/cone.

  • Patent number: 6988940
Abstract: This manual, vacuum-enabled dustless sander provides complete debris collection from both the working surface and area extending peripherally beyond the sander head while overcoming other deficiencies of prior art by projecting an abrasive screen above the sander head to form a rectangular mound which abrades while allowing debris to be drawn through itself. The projection is achieved by placing the abrasive screen atop an air permeable cushion supported by a rectangular platform made to rotate at a position of use at the intake end of a hollow shaft. Ends of the screen are inserted between the walls of two rectangular containers which rotate on the shaft and loosely embrace the platform. Rotating the shaft moves the threaded inner down the shaft into the lower container to clamp the screen in place. Vacuumed air draws all abraded debris into the sander head and through the hollow shaft to a collection canister.

  • Patent number: 6920764
Abstract: A high throughput, short batch cycle commercial ice making machine produces commercial ice which resists melting in convenient sizes for mobile food carts, market produce, or fish displays. The machine introduces super-cooled water, that is in a liquid state while exposed to a temperature below freezing, into a batch of pre-formed hollow molds of one or more horizontally oriented ice forming freezing trays oriented horizontally. Using vapor compression refrigeration, the machine produces a plurality of supercooled ice segments in pockets within the freezing tray. The supercooled ice segments are rapidly subjected to a short, temporary contact with a high heat source from a sleeve integral with the freezing tray compartments, along a peripheral bottom surface of the ice segment accommodating freezing tray molds. This temporarily melts a bottom surface of each ice segment, lubricating it and loosening it.

  • Patent number: 6896207
Abstract: An anti-squirt ring acts as a handle guard for a palm operated garden hose nozzle lever. The guard is a circular ring, which obliquely surrounds the trigger lever of the garden hose nozzle. If the garden hose nozzle is accidentally dropped, the annular guard ring provides clearance. Therefore, the trigger lever will not forcefully contact the ground and be accidentally engaged, suddenly and erratically. The guard prevents unwanted spraying water from the nozzle in unwanted directions, such as at the user or at objects which should not get wet. The wire is configured in an annular ring and is either manufactured with the garden hose nozzle or garden hose, or is attached by clamps, cable ties or hook and loop type fasteners to the garden hose nozzle or attached to the garden hose directly.
