Abstract: A cable retainer clip for locking a sheath of a sheathed cable on a vehicle chassis. The retainer clip fastens the cable in a slot to anchor it in a fixed position.
Abstract: A pressure responsive relief valve closing responsive to clutch actuating pressure and opening responsive to centrifugal forces and a spring force to relieve residual pressure in the hydraulic actuator of a rotating clutch to avoid clutch drag.

Abstract: A vehicle transmission having power shift means and an overrunning clutch to selectively provide a multiple speed transmission with shifting of the vehicle transmission while the vehicle is operating. The transmission includes a main drive shaft, a jackshaft and a countershaft with a selective manual gear shift on the countershaft. The main drive is through the countershaft and a plurality of gearsets having clutching means to manually select one of a plurality of speed ratios. The first input speed drives through the first overrunning clutch to the main drive shaft. The jackshaft is selectively engaged through a power shift clutch to provide a second input speed to the main drive shaft. When the jackshaft is in operation, the first overrunning clutch is disengaged and the drive is through the power shift clutch to rotate the main drive shaft at the higher speed.
Abstract: Connecting rod orifices spray oil on the underside of a piston of an internal combustion engine. The orifices are constructed to produce a wide spray evenly distributed across the underside of the piston beneath the combustion chamber in the internal combustion engine.
Abstract: A cushioning device for decelerating and stopping the piston in a hydraulic cylinder by restricting and throttling the fluid flow from the cylinder.
Abstract: A hydraulic axle stabilizer for a pivotal axle on a fork lift truck operating responsive to extension of a mast lift to provide stability of the fork lift truck for higher lifts on the mast.
Abstract: A deflectable support for a protective frame on a tractor to absorb shock loading on the frame and prevent excessive damage to the frame and provide a secondary support for the protective frame to prevent damage to the frame or injury to the operator.
Abstract: A self-aligning door hinge having a pin and sleeve bearing and a spherical bushing and socket bearing to minimize the effect of any misalignment of the hinges and simplify door assembly.
Abstract: A cylinder head gasket for an internal combustion engine having double metal wrapped hoops providing a reinforced fire ring around the combustion chamber. The inner hoop is the larger hoop to carry the clamping load and form a positive seal while the outer hoop reinforces the inner hoop.
Abstract: An adjustable power steering mechanism to compensate for the adjusting of the tread width on the front wheels of a tractor. The tie rod is adjusted axially by a single adjusting device on the tie rod to extend or contract the tie rod to assure the same adjustment is made on the tie rod as on the front axle. A hydraulic actuator connected between a steering arm and a bracket on the front axle has a single adjustment to compensate for the tread width adjustments on the front axle and tie rod.
Abstract: A top mounted lift hydraulic ram on a tractor for a three-point hitch mounted on a removable subassembly to facilitate assembly and convenience in servicing.
Abstract: The hand and foot cable controlled throttle with a hand lever controlling movement of the cable and the foot pedal controlling movement of the cable sheath and cable for selectively controlling the throttle.
Abstract: A torsional vibration damper having limit stops to limit the compression of the springs and to avoid overstraining of the springs. Spring retainers which seat on the driving and driven members have protrusions and recesses to minimize relative rubbing motion and wear and provide improved alignment of the spring seats in the assembly with the springs and the driving and driven members.

Abstract: A horizontal seat suspension for a vehicle for isolating horizontal ride vibrations for low frequencies normally found in large tractors, or other off the road vehicles, a provision for adjusting the seat to a desired position, and also a provision for selectively locking or activating the horizontal suspension.
Abstract: A hydraulic draft control system for use on a tractor and having a pilot valve regulating flow and pressure for automatically operating a draft control valve. The pilot valve opens and closes in response to draft loads sensed on the tractor to control the opening and closing of the control valve for raising and lowering of an implement on the tractor.
Abstract: An inner peripheral seal ring on the inner periphery of a wear sleeve to seal axial flow of oil and permit heat radially transferred through the wear sleeve for cooler operation of the seal on the wear sleeve.
Abstract: A double acting hydraulic actuator for hydraulic clutches having a single piston for selectively actuating each of the hydraulic clutches. The hydraulic actuator includes a hydraulic cylinder in which a single piston is positioned which reciprocates to operate a hydraulic clutch in one direction and a second hydraulic clutch in the other direction.
Abstract: A park lock and range shift mechanism including a reciprocating and pivotal shaft operated by a shift lever. Reciprocal movement of the shaft operates the park lock while pivotal movement of the shaft operates the range shift of the transmission.
Abstract: A side mounted transmission shifting mechanism having a lever pivotally connected for reciprocating and pivoting a crank arm on the crankshaft to shift a vehicle transmission. The crank arm selectively engages one of a plurality of shift rails to selectively shift the transmission.
