  • Patent number: 7424963
Abstract: A wire frame plastic bag dispenser includes an angled lower bag roll support urging perforated, rolled plastic bags toward a bag roll restraining element attached to the frame. A constraining movement element prevents lateral movement of the bag roll. A perforation parter separates bags as they are pulled from the roll. The bags may be folded along at least one vertical axis to form a more compact bag roll and may have a chisel cut in the perforation to aid in separation by the perforation parter. The frame includes four corners each of approximately 90 degrees, has a C shape in a horizontal plane, and includes a dispensing end, a back end, and two sides. The lower bag roll support includes a proximal end attached to the back end and extends downwardly to a distal end. The perforation parter may be located outwardly from the dispensing end of the frame.

  • Patent number: 7389951
Abstract: A misting spray nozzle includes a hollow body having an interior wall descending from an upper end to a lower end. The interior wall tapers toward the lower end to form a choke. A channel section provides two fluid paths descending from an upper central aperture. A turbine is sized and shaped to fit closely within the choke and has spiral grooves on its outer surface. The turbine attaches to the body at its upper end and has a cone-shaped opening at its lower end. A conical core is sized and shaped to fit closely within the cone-shaped opening and has grooves spiraling in an opposite direction on its outer surface. The core is attached at its upper end to the turbine. The two sets of spiral grooves define a pair of intersecting fluid control paths that meet at the lower end of the body to create a dense mist.

  • Patent number: 7339740
Abstract: An image decoder system includes a series of optically or digitally encoded images mounted on a series of flat surfaces. A decoding lens is positioned over the encoded images. The decoding produces simulated three-dimensional image, simulated motion images or other visible effects. The system includes a backing plate to which the images and one or more decoding lenses are hingedly attached, resulting in a variety of decoding methods. To improve image clarity, locking devices such as Velcro fasteners, snaps, locking tabs, etc. are used to hold the lens to the image surface. Special inks for the encoded images and selected material for lens manufacture are used to improve contact between the image and the lens. Alignment marks are encoded with the image and used to match to alignment marks on the lens to clarify the decoded image. Wide, narrow and special combination lenticular lenses are used for special decoding effects.

  • Patent number: 7301090
Abstract: An instructional device for use by music students is constructed as an outer sleeve having a slide member fitted within it. The outer sleeve has first and second sets of openings through and is imprinted with a representation of a piano keyboard on one surface. The slide member has alphabetic representations of musical notes arranged to show through the first set of openings as the slide member is moved through the sleeve. One alphabetic representation shows the musical key selected and seven others display the notes of the major scale and major and minor chords associated with that key. A first series of markings sized and located to show through the second set of openings and will indicate the piano keys related to the major scale selected. Additional sets of openings and markings on the slide member indicate the piano keys associated with the major and minor chords selected. These piano keys may also be shown by colored markings or differently shaped openings.

  • Patent number: 7273288
Abstract: Ribbed mirrors allowing heat to be conducted past the glass during optical polish and application of coatings and methods of fabricating same. The method comprises placing a bridge of thermally conductive material in thermal contact with the mirror plate and the supporting rib at the interior angle. The preferred thermally conductive material is RTV silicone. However, the RTV silicone can be mixed with a powdered heat conductor such as diamond dust, aluminum oxide and silicon carbide. Alternatively, the thermally conductive fillet can be made from a segment of thermally conductive rigid material, such as copper, diamond, beryllium, silver and aluminum having an exterior angle matching the interior angle and a thermally conductive plastic such as RTV silicone or thermally conductive grease, silicone or epoxy applied to surfaces of the exterior angle.

  • Patent number: 7270256
Abstract: A series of roll mounted bags and dispensers are described. The bags may be folded along at least one axis and rolled. The compact roll of bags is placed in various dispensers. As the upper portion of the first bag is pulled from the roll, the roll will rotate, presenting the succeeding bag for dispensing after the first bag is removed. Variations of the dispenser include one with a bag opening means with a mounting member and bag opening element causing the bags to open as they are pulled from the dispenser. The dispenser includes mechanisms for supporting the bag roll and constraining its movement along its horizontal axis. Another variation of the dispenser has a perforation parting means that facilitates separation of one bag from a subsequent bag. The dispenser may be removably attached to a dispenser support that attaches to a surface.

  • Patent number: 7267023
Abstract: A miter gear transmission includes a driving shaft, an idler cluster and a driven shaft. The idler cluster includes two cone-shaped gear sets, each having a proximate end with a gear having a largest number of teeth and a distal end with a gear having a smallest number of teeth. Gears with a decreasing number of teeth are located between the proximate and distal ends. The two gear sets are joined at their proximate ends. The idler cluster is suspended in bearings at a 45 degree angle between the driving and driven shafts with first and second spur gears slidably engaged to the shafts. Two actuator moves the spur gears along the shafts to engage the gear teeth of each of gears of the gear sets. By moving the spur gears to engage different gears, different gear ratios are achieved. A cable loop shifter moves the actuators along the shafts.

  • Patent number: 7178415
Abstract: A fluid sampling device for use with dual-opening sample containers includes attachment members holding open end seals of the sample container that are urged to a closed position by an elastic member. The elastic member is normally within the container. The sampling device is lowered into a fluid source and fluid fills the sample container. The attachment members are released remotely by a trigger, allowing the end seals to close the open ends of the container. The sampling device is withdrawn from the fluid source and the sample container is removed from the sampling device. Securing end caps are attached to the sample container to hold the end seals in place for transport and storage of the sample container. The end seal may have a membrane central portion to permit entry of a syringe needle for sampling. The securing end cap may include a septa to assist in syringe sampling.
