  • Patent number: 7175583
Abstract: A method for manufacturing square bottom plastic bags designed to stand upright when opened. The bags are constructed with open tops, side handle openings and attached headers or with t-shirt style handles. The bags are produced in registered bag stacks and include means for adhering a rear surface of one bag to a front surface of a subsequent bag making the bags self-opening when used in dispensing rack. The headered bags have tear-off headers or headers with weakened areas that will rupture upon dispensing. The t-shirt bags have apertures through the handles to suspend the bags on a rack or a header attached above the handles. The bags have detachable or rupturable center tabs. The bags are registered with hot pins or cold stakes through an upper portion of the bags or bag handles. The bags have openings, microperforations, or are formed of porous material to dissipate heat or moisture.

  • Patent number: 7165760
Abstract: A retaining-locking system for chain link fence slats includes specially notched fence slat elements having a pointed upper or lower end. The slat elements are sized and shaped to be interwoven between consecutive links of a chain link fence. A retaining-locking strip is formed of resilient material, and has an inner surface and an outer surface and at least one securing protrusion. The securing protrusion is sized and shaped to fit slidably within the notch. The protrusion is located on the outer surface of the strip. When the slat elements are interwoven into between consecutive links of a chain link fence with each of the notches aligned with one another, the retaining-locking strip inserted between the slat elements and the links, with the securing protrusion disposed within the slats, the strip will urge the slats toward the links, thereby retaining the slats within the chain link fence.

  • Patent number: 7147360
Abstract: An apparatus and method for collecting and transporting concrete waste comprises a container, a cart for supporting and moving the container and a lifting component attached to the frame of a cement truck for lifting the cart and container off the ground for transport. The apparatus may be stored on a cement truck so that the apparatus prevents disposal of cement and concrete waste in an unlawful or unsightly manner and allows the cement and concrete waste to be returned to a cement and concrete production facility and recycled. The cart includes a component for tilting the container about its midsection by an elongated lever or handle. The cart also includes a component for limiting the forward tilting of the container and for locking the container in an upright position. A wheel locking mechanism for at least one wheel of the cart is provided. The mechanism is manually engaged or disengaged.

  • Patent number: 7131553
Abstract: A cellular reservoir flexible pressure vessel is formed as a series of closely packed tubes fitted into a pair of opposing end caps. The end caps have individual receptacles sized and shaped to receive the tube ends that are secured with adhesive or radio frequency welding. At least one end cap has a passageway for connection of the vessel. The flexible pressure vessel has a pressure relief device comprising a reduction in thickness of one end cap at a predetermined location. When subjected to overpressure it fails at the predetermined location. Other pressure relief devices include: a projecting member on the vessel surface, a weakened section of the passageway, a weakening or an absence of braiding material or hoop winding at a predetermined location on the vessel surface or along the passageway, a weakening or spreading of fibers in either the reinforcing panels or the flexible blankets covering the vessel.

  • Patent number: 7128575
Abstract: A tooth elevator designed to minimize risk of injury to a patient's mouth or adjacent teeth during tooth extraction is described. The elevator has mating side members, a handle portion and a mating jaw portion. As force is applied to the handle portions, the jaw portions are urged together on either side of a molar to be extracted. Inward curving side members disjoint the tooth upwardly while an angled front face simultaneously moves the tooth back, loosening it for extraction. A variation of the tooth elevator has a downward angled offset that allows a practitioner to easily position the elevator in a patient's mouth without the discomfort of raising the elbow of the grasping hand. The handle portions may also have non-slip features.

  • Patent number: 7125417
Abstract: An aromatherapy herb pack has a flexible, aroma-permeable cover having upper and lower layers joined at their outer edges to form an interior space to contain thermal reservoir and aromatherapy materials. The interior space is divided into a series of subspaces in the form of parallel, tube-shaped containers to prevent shifting of the contained materials. A central opening is provided penetrating the upper and layers of the cover. The opening permits a user to place the herb pack over his head and onto his shoulders. The opening is X-shaped to permit maximum shoulder contact. The openings are circular in another embodiment, designed to fit snugly about a user's neck. A slit is provided extending from the outer edge of the herb pack to the opening for easy placement about the neck. A fastener, such as a hook and loop, button, zipper or tie string is used to close the slit.

  • Patent number: 7121423
Abstract: A flexible pressure vessel is constructed from at least one pair of upper and mating lower dome shaped cell portions. The dome portions are molded from sheets of resilient material and joined together by radio frequency welding or high-strength adhesives. Upper and lower passageway portions extend outwardly from each cell portion to the surrounding sheet material. When the cell portions are joined the passageway portions are joined to form a passageway for connection to a valve or another cell. Upper and lower rings surround the upper and lower cell portions to provide reinforcement for the cells. First and second blankets of heavy-duty fiber reinforced material are attached over the upper and lower cell portions and stitched in place with heavy-duty stitching extending through the resilient material surrounding the cell portions. Cell shaped sponges impregnated with absorbent materials are encased in liquid and gas impermeable plastic tubing and inserted into the cells prior to joining of the cell portions.

  • Patent number: 7047564
Abstract: The invention is designed to eliminate or minimize the liability associated with “packet flooding” attacks originating from within a local area network connected to an external network such as one controlled by a university or governmental organization. In these attacks, an attacker uses up all available bandwidth to a victim with useless data. The invention performs its function by identifying and classifying data packets arriving at a “Reverse Firewall” for transmission to the external network using various techniques. For example, data packets that are sent in response to data packets received from the external network will receive a different classification and thus allocation of resources than data packets not sent in response to previously received packets.
