Abstract: A window blind apparatus having a first magnetically active track, a second magnetically active track, a first rod, a second rod, a first magnet located at the first end of the first rod, and a second magnet located at the second end of the first rod, a third magnet located at the first end of the second rod, a fourth magnet located at the second end of the second rod, and a window covering material adapted to be disposed between the first rod and the second rod, wherein the apparatus is adapted to be used to wholly or partially cover the window over which it is mounted.

Abstract: A router having one or more downstream interfaces and situated in a data network system between sources that send multicast data packets to at least one multicast group address and multiple hosts that request data from the multicast group address and sources. In one implementation the router has a management system agent and an associated management system agent database and stores for each network interface, each multicast group address and each host information in the management system agent database derived from one or more data requests made by the hosts.

Abstract: According to some implementations methods, apparatus and systems are provided involving the use of processors having at least one core with a security component, the security component adapted to read and verify data within data blocks stored in a L1 instruction cache memory and to allow the execution of data block instructions in the core only upon the instructions being verified by the use of a cryptographic algorithm.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a method of transmitting a file having an advertising portion and a requested portion different from the advertising portion. The method includes receiving a request to transmit the file, via a streaming protocol allowing non-sequential access, transmitting the advertising portion of the file, receiving a request to transmit a portion of the requested portion of the file prior to completing transmitting the advertising portion of the file, completing the transmission of the advertising portion of the file, and transmitting the requested portion of the file.

Abstract: A pipe tool, useful for cutting, removing a weld, and/or truing a pipe, comprises a housing; a drive interface; a gripper selectively insertable into an inner annulus of a pipe and movable independently of the housing, the gripper comprising a selectively expandable grip; a radially disposed cutter adapted to selectively engage a predetermined portion of an outer surface of the pipe, the cutter movable independently of the housing and the gripper; and a motor operatively in communication with the drive interface. In embodiments, a pipe is cut by maneuvering the pipe tool proximate an open end of a pipe, moving the gripper into the pipe; extending the grip to engage an interior wall of the pipe and secure the pipe tool from movement relative to the pipe; advancing the exposed face to a predetermined position relative to the pipe; axially advancing the cutter to engage an outer wall of the pipe; and rotating the housing until the cutters perform the desired cutting operation on the pipe.

Abstract: A high current cursor comprises a outer frame in which a center carriage travels. The center carriage travels between the top and bottom of the outer frame. Movement of the center carriage is limited within the outer frame constraints and its own locking mechanism. Center carriage carries a bend restrictor for an umbilical or lift line. When the center carriage travels down to a predetermined position within the high current cursor, equipment is allowed to exit the high current cursor or is retrieved back into the high current cursor when the bend restrictor reaches a predetermined position within the outer frame, e.g. at its lowest point, allowing dispersal and/or retrieval without obstruction back to a fixed recovery point.

Abstract: Methods for transmitting packets using a Mobile IP protocol between a mobile node and a first node in a data network after the mobile node has transmitted data packets to the first node via a first router from a first CoA or CCoA address and by a first security association with the first node. One method includes the mobile node, sending to the first node via a second router using a second CoA or CCoA address, data packets that include an identifier of the mobile node that enables the first node to identify the mobile node as the sender of the data packets during an initial time period after transmission of the data packets via the second router has started, and during the initial time period, the mobile node authenticates the data packets it transmits to the first node using the first security association with the first node.

Abstract: A long distance power transfer coupler for wellbore applications system uses two or more wireless modules, each wireless module comprises a self-resonant coil, to transmit energy within a wellbore. The second, and potentially subsequent, wireless modules receive radiant electromagnetic energy from a nearby neighbor which the self-resonant coil converts to usable electromagnetic energy which may be used for power, data communications, or a combination thereof. A first module may be deployed at a predetermined position in the wellbore; a cable attached to a second length of tubing; and one or more second modules attached to the tubing and coupled inductively to a resistive load. The tubing and second module or modules are deployed downhole and electromagnetic energy transmitted wirelessly between the first module and the second module. Modules may be deployed in a completion string.

Abstract: A system and method for production of analyzing electronic documents includes document acquisition software; a database, comprising a document table; a document parser; a categorization schema; and a document processor operatively in communication with the database and the categorization schema. Document acquisition software operatively resident in a first computer acquires an electronic document which is then parsed by a document parser operatively resident in a second computer to create a set of parsed data related to the acquired document. A predetermined set of data describing the parsed document, comprising the created parsed data, are stored into a document table of a database accessible to the second computer. A non-neural network process is used to process the created parsed data in a document processor operatively resident in a third computer according to a categorization schema to create an association between the acquired document and the categorization schema.

Abstract: A passive hydrocarbon containment system for containing hydrocarbons in a fluid comprises a subsea separator dome, an oil pathway in fluid communication with a hydrocarbon collector disposed within the collection dome, and a gas outlet pipe having a discharge height dimensioned and adapted in relation to the height of the oil pathway sufficient to keep a portion of the oil pathway submerged into a fluid such as seawater present in the collection dome interior void. The hydrocarbon containment system can be moored subsea and used to collect oil and gas coming out of the ocean floor. One advantage of the hydrocarbon containment system is that there are no moving parts. A further advantage is that the hydrocarbon containment system requires limited maintenance to pump out the collected oil as needed.

Abstract: A method for filtering in a network interface of a computer system multicast packets in a manner that reduces or obviates altogether the processing of unwanted multicast packets by the processing unit of the computer system. Filtering in the network interface is accomplished by the network interface accessing multicast traffic request information originating in the computer system and comparing the accessed information with the multicast destination address and IP source address of packets received in the network interface.

Abstract: A method for lawfully intercepting communication IP packets exchanged between terminals is provided. The method involves assigning an IP address associated with a telecommunication service provider to, for example, a sending terminal for use as its IP address in communications with a receiving terminal, the telecommunication service provider providing SIP proxy services for establishing communication between the sending and receiving terminals. The communication IP packets are intercepted in such a way that the terminals are unaware of the interception.

Hosts receive from a network interface of a router traffic sent by sources in a multicast group. The hosts and the router communicate with one another by means of a multicast host-router communications protocol by means of which the hosts send to the router messages to request multicast traffic from sources in a multicast group. The router receiving one of said messages obtains in said message identifying data which identify the host that has sent said message, and said router stores in specific records for each network interface of the router, host and multicast group information about the sources the traffic of which has been requested by said host in said messages sent to the router.

The pilot burner includes an injector having a first conduit for receiving a flow of a first combustible fluid, a second conduit for receiving a flow of a second combustible fluid and a third conduit connected to and in fluid communication with the first and second conduits which is configured to receive the flow of the first combustible fluid from the first conduit or the flow of the second combustible fluid from the second conduit. A single nozzle at the outlet of the third conduit is provided for supplying a pilot flame. The assembly also includes a single flame igniter positioned to cause an ignition of the pilot flame at the nozzle and also a single thermocouple positioned to be heated by the pilot flame and to generate an electrical current when heated.

Abstract: A method for lawfully intercepting communication IP packets exchanged between terminals is provided. The method involves assigning an IP address associated with a telecommunication service provider to, for example, a sending terminal for use as its IP address in communications with a receiving terminal, the telecommunication service provider providing SIP proxy services for establishing communication between the sending and receiving terminals. The communication IP packets are intercepted in such a way that the terminals are unaware of the interception.

Abstract: It comprises a shifter bezel (3) movable between two end positions relative to a base (2) fixed to the vehicle and biasing means for biasing the shifter bezel (3) to one of said end positions and locking means (10) for locking the shifter bezel (3) at any position between said two end positions with respect to the base (2). The shifter bezel (3) may be automatically self-adjusted in the vehicle console through the biasing means. Once the shifter bezel has been properly fitted, its relative position may be easily fixed by the locking means (10).

Abstract: A dual fuel vent free gas heater having at least one gas burner with a plurality of gas outlet ports. The gas outlet ports are in flow communication with at least one pilot flame burner. At least one fuel injector feeds fuel to the burner providing for introduction of more than one fuel to the burner. Optionally, an oxygen detection system, manual control valve, linkage, and/or shut off control system may be incorporated into the dual fuel vent free heater.
