  • Patent number: 6236604
Abstract: A row address circuit of a semiconductor memory device includes a signal generator that generates a pulse in an enable signal for an output circuit that provides a decoded address. The pulse has a first edge that is delayed relative to a corresponding first edge of a refresh count signal and a second edge that precedes a corresponding second edge of the count signal. Accordingly, the enable signal prevents changes in the output signal that could otherwise result from input of an external address during a refresh operation. Therefore, the present invention can prevent an invalid address by cutting off a predecoder before a transition of a refresh count signal to prohibit a change of a predecoded output.

  • Patent number: 6228210
Abstract: A surface wave coupled plasma etching apparatus according to the present invention can produce a plasma within a confined area above an etching object by a microwave confinement plate, so as to prevent an upper portion of the apparatus from being sputtered by the plasma. The microwave confinement plate is interposed between a pair of glass plates, so that the microwave confinement plate is not exposed to and sputtered by the plasma during an etching process. The lower glass plate which protects the microwave confinement plate from the plasma is formed so as not to change a temperature of itself rapidly when the etching stops, and thereby an undesirable polymer adhesion to the lower glass plate is avoided.

  • Patent number: 6185151
Abstract: A synchronous memory device capable of performing write operation with a programmable write cycle, and a data write method using the synchronous memory device. The synchronous memory device includes a memory cell array having a plurality of memory cells arranged in rows and columns, a precharge circuit for precharging a data input/output line which transmits data to be written to the memory cells, with a predetermined voltage level, and a column selection circuit for writing the data transmitted to the data input/output line to a selected memory cell, in response to activation of a column selection signal. The activation cycle of the column selection signal is determined according to the write cycle modes programmed in a mode register set. The write cycle modes can be programmed in the mode register set with system clock frequency information, so that the number of data write operations per clock cycle can be varied.

  • Patent number: 5264771
Abstract: The invention concerns with a system for controlling a stepping motor, and more particularly with a stepping motor control system which moves a head of a disk drive unit with (1-2)-phase excitation. With the stepping motor controlling system, a driving force is produced to rotate the stepping motor by a predetermined angle with the (1-2)-phase excitation for ech step pulse supplied from the exterior, and step pulses with a plurality of cycles are used to make the stepping motor rotate at different speeds depending on the cycles of the step pulses. In that controlling system, a time period of the 1-phase excitation is changed depending on the pulse interval of the step pulses, thereby reducing a level of noisy sounds like seek noise.
