  • Patent number: 6438874
Abstract: A hydraulic rotary grinder for attachment to construction machinery such as an excavator, consisting of a rotating drum having a hollow core and a plurality of attached replaceable grinding tips. A hydraulic motor rotates the drum, and is secured within the hollow core and activated by the hydraulic system of the construction machinery. A planetary gearbox is associated with the hydraulic motor to provide speed changes. At least one weight within the hollow core provides shock absorption and additional mass to the rotating drum. A heat-absorbing liquid within the hollow core absorbs heat from the grinding operation and a seal prevents the heat-absorbing liquid from leaking out of the drum. A number of water nozzles may be mounted on the apparatus for dust suppression. A second hydraulic motor may be provided for increased torque and grinding capacity.

  • Patent number: 6430770
Abstract: A portable golf club cleaning device including a plastic bottle designed to contain a cleaning fluid, a threaded cover for the bottle having an opening and a removable snap on lid. Brushes attached to the cover extend partially into the fluid and surround the inside of the enclosure so that a golf club placed into the hole will be scrubbed by the brushes and washed by the cleaning fluid. The brushes are limited in deflection due to the insertion of the golf club between the brushes, by mounting opposite facing pairs of continuous scrubbing of the golf club. The snap on lid will allow portability without spillage.

  • Patent number: 6415794
Abstract: A performance enhancing and force absorbing dental appliance adapted to lie within the mouth of an athlete consists of an occlusal posterior pad made of quadruple composite material comprising four layers of distinct materials, further comprising a first layer of a durable, resilient material; a second layer of non-softenable, flexible material; a third layer of a hard, very durable material; and a fourth layer of a softenable material, engageable with the occlusal surfaces to space apart the upper and lower teeth, to absorb shock and clenching stress. An adjustable arch adapted to expand and contract to be molded to the palate is provided connecting the posterior pads together within the mouth and out of the way of the tongue to maintain the position of the occlusal posterior pads within the mouth during use and to prevent loss of the pads such as by swallowing. An expandable serpentine bridge may be embedded in the arch.

  • Patent number: 6397482
Abstract: An improved sight holder for an archery bow including an accurate and rapidly adjustable vertical adjustment, an improved adjustment with axial direction to the arrow. The holder is easily used. The vertical adjustment uses a novel double-threaded screw device so as to achieve both a rapid adjustment by a coarse screw and a delicate adjustment by a fine screw with both threads cut into the same screw shaft and separately engageable nut devices. The adjustment on the line of flight is improved by use of a bar which is tapered to allow a forced tight fit to be accomplished by use of a finger-operated set screw.

  • Patent number: 6390159
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically cutting a drawer slide groove and drilling a drawer-securing pin hole in a drawer with a bottom with a number of edges extending downwardly from the bottom, and a rear wall. The apparatus includes a support, the drawer resting on the support during the cutting and drilling operations; a power saw having a moving blade adapted for cutting a groove in the drawer; a first guide mounted on the support and adapted to engage one of the plurality of downwardly extending drawer edges, thereby positioning the saw blade adjacent the downwardly extending drawer edge; a drill carrier movable in a first direction and a second direction relative to the support; and a power drill mounted in the drill carrier and having a drill bit adapted to drill a drawer-securing pin hole in the rear wall of the drawer.

  • Patent number: 6371758
Abstract: A one-piece customizable dental appliance for the mouth of an athlete is comprised of an occlusal posterior pad for each side of the posterior teeth engageable with the occlusal surfaces to space apart the teeth and to absorb shock and clenching stress. A band is provided connecting the posterior pads together within the mouth and out of the way of the tongue to maintain the position of the occlusal posterior pads within the mouth during use and to prevent loss of the pads such as by swallowing. Portions of the pads are scored so that they may be easily cut away to customize the appliance for smaller mouths.

  • Patent number: 6240764
Abstract: The J-channel siding tool is preferably used to cut tabs or notches or a miter finishing cut in J-channel vinyl or aluminum siding in perpendicularly adjacent pieces proximate to the corners of doors or windows of a building, through the one cut operation of the tool by an individual. The J-channel siding cutter includes a pair of pivotally interconnected handles, a first cutter having a pair of first cutting surfaces and a first traverse cutting surface on one of the handles, and a second cutter having a pair of second cutting surfaces and a second traverse cutting surface on the other handle. The second traverse cutting surface is recessed with respect to the first traverse cutting surface to enable an individual to selectively determine, in one cut, whether to create a tab or notch within J-channel siding. The first cutter may also include a stop for defining a uniform length of tab or notch.
