Abstract: Computer method and apparatus managing engineering product revisions. A repository holds one or more assets. For each asset, the repository holds respective revisions of the asset. A revision manager tracks changes of state of assets of the repository. Each change of state of a given asset results in a respective revision of the given asset. The revision manager provides a project view illustrating changes of state of assets and including performance indicators corresponding to respective changes of state of assets held in the repository. The performance indicators may be color coded and may be based on a changeable metric. The revision manager provides in the project view an indication of each change in metric. Plural performance indicators for a set of assets may be presented in the project view as a graphical series.
Abstract: A synchronization circuit for re-synchronizing data from an input clock to an output clock is presented. The first transparent latch receives data synchronized to an input clock. A second transparent latch receives data from the first transparent latch and outputs data dependent on a delayed output clock which is the output clock delayed by an insertion delay. An output latch receives data from the second transparent latch and synchronizes data to the output clock.

Abstract: Many image processing problems are concerned with determining measurements of an anomalous area in an image. Most automated systems suffer from low specificity, which may reduce their acceptance. An example embodiment of the present invention relates to a method and corresponding apparatus for providing measurement data of a region of interest in an image in a graphical user interface environment. The example embodiment locates a pair of edges in multiple dimensions of a region of interest selected by a user, calculates a center position between respective edges, and iterates until a convergence or divergence is determined. Linear calculation may be employed for rapid results, allowing an advance in speed of image processing over current techniques. In a case of convergence, the measurement data is reported. In a case of divergence, a failure state is reported. By reporting divergence, the example embodiment achieves high specificity, thereby reducing the number of false positive reports.
Abstract: The invention provides an immunogenic composition comprising at least one antigen in association with micropar-tides, wherein the microparticles are in the same size range as viruses. In addition the invention also provides vaccine compositions and methods of eliciting immune responses in a subject.
Abstract: Data de-duplication (“de-dupe”) allows IT organizations to replace aging tape systems with disk-based backup solutions and minimize the storage allocated to backup and data protection. The effectiveness of de-dupe technology is dependent on the data being protected. Data streams with little data repetitiveness provide disappointing results when processed through a block-level de-dupe engine. To avoid this problem, Assisted Mainframe De-Dupe (AMDD) technology can insure that filesystem block-level de-dupe products efficiently de-dupe tape backup streams received from IBM™and/or compatible mainframes. By pre-processing backup tape volumes before sending the data to storage, AMDD insures that large amounts of unchanged data lines up on de-dupe block boundaries each time the data is sent to the de-dupe process engine.

Abstract: The invention provides novel vaccination strategies based on a prime-boost vaccination regiment. The inventors have determined improved ways of boosting an immune response in a patient previously primed or exposed to a plurality of epitopes. The improved method requires the epitopes in the boosting phase to be administered individually, i.e. held on separate peptide constructs.

Abstract: A brushless, liquid or air cooled, direct current motor formed from a three stack stator and three section rotor assembly using an integrated water cooled or air cooled housing and over-molding techniques.
Abstract: A frequency multiplier circuit comprising a delay line receiving at one end thereof a reference clock for generating clock tap outputs from respective ones of a plurality of period matched delay elements; a clock combining circuit responsive to pairs of tap outputs for generating a rising and falling edge of an output clock pulse from respective ones of the pairs whereby the output clock period is less than the input clock period.
Abstract: A backpack including a pack portion having a top, a bottom, a front, a rear and two sides. A strap arrangement can also be included for carrying the pack portion as a backpack. The strap arrangement can have a pair of carrying straps. Each carrying strap can be secured to the pack portion at about the bottom and extend upwardly along respective sides of the pack portion, and redirected at about the top of said respective sides to extend around to the rear of the pack portion, and being redirected at about the top of the rear to extend downwardly for securement at about the bottom of the pack portion at the rear. The strap arrangement can redirect forces to support a load in the pack portion from the sides of the pack portion.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the invention is directed to support structures such as spacers used to provide a uniform distance between two layers of a device. In accordance with a preferred embodiment, the spacers may be formed utilizing flow-fill deposition of a wet film in the form of a precursor such as silicon dioxide. Formation of spacers in this manner provides a homogenous amorphous support structure that may be used to provide necessary spacing between layers of a device such as a flat panel display.
Abstract: The disclosure proposes an adaptive resource allocation in a network. A resource is divided into Blocks and each base station is assigned a Block for its subscribers that are in the interference region, and another Block for its subscribers that are not in the interference region. Blocks other than these two are not used by the base station. Bordering base stations does not use the same Block if they have any subscribers in the shared interference region. The disclosure proposes a resource sizing along with load balancing scheme. The resource sizing is adaptable and may change over time according to topology.
Abstract: Method and apparatus to monitor and detect anomalies of information content flows, the method comprising the steps of capturing information access packets, filtering packets to extract information, decoding packets to determine information content, deriving content signatures, trending prototypical behavior, and detecting anomalies of information access, and said apparatus comprising a computing device comprising a network based device that captures the information and produces anomaly information.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method of computing. In one embodiment, computing a boundary of a modelled object in a computer aided design system, the method may include accessing data defining a modeled object as a simplicial m-complex. The method may further include projecting the simplicial m -complex in n, m?n. The method also may include computing a polyhedral boundary of the modeled object as a polyhedral n?1-cycle in the projection of the simplicial complex. The polyhedral n?1-cycle may substantially border the projection of the simplicial complex. The present invention is further directed to a computer program product and a computerized system for performing the method of the invention.

Abstract: A method of anticipating a short-term future electrical energy demand of an energy trader's customers includes calculating a short-term future net electrical energy demand required to meet the demand of customer facilities which have a solar energy generating system or systems in a geographic region. The method further includes determining a resulting difference, expressed as a shortfall or surplus, between the short-term future net electrical energy demand and an amount of electrical energy purchased in long-term contracts for the supply of the customer facilities, and bargaining a buying price or a selling price for energy in a short-term future or day-ahead market based on the shortfall or surplus. A method for hedging energy sales or purchases in a short-term future or day-ahead market includes determining an historical performance of a regional net energy forecasting methodology for a facility or facilities which have solar energy generating systems in a geographical region.
