  • Patent number: 8314053
Abstract: The invention relates to a component that is suitable for use as a sliding bearing. The invention further relates to a method for the production of said component. The design of the component according to the invention provides a layer of a light metal material (13), which is provided with an oxide layer (15) containing pores (16) in the direction of the sliding surface (23) of the component. A hard material (18) is placed in the pores, which greatly increases the firmness of said layer region, thus creating the mechanical firmness for use as a sliding bearing. In order to counteract the tendency of said firm layer region to experience brittle failure, the oxide layer (15) is coated with a solid lubricant layer (20). Said solid lubricant layer comprises a metallic, ductile matrix (21), which distributes a force (F) acting at certain points over a larger surface region (b).

  • Patent number: 8309011
Abstract: An auxiliary device and a method for finishing and calibrating preforms that are removed from a multiple tool in an unstable shape, the calibration process being performed with compressed air immediately after removing and withdrawing the preforms from the multiple tool. Nipples that can be inserted into the preforms are provided with expandable press rings or sealing rings in order to seal the interior of the blow-molded part of the preforms. The compressed air is introduced via the nipples, the sealing process being performed by radially expanding the press rings or sealing rings in analogy to the closing process of thermoses, thus protecting the preforms from adverse forces. The sealing point can be randomly selected in the transition zone from the threaded part to the blow-molded part of the preforms. The interior of the blow-molded part is optimally sealed without affecting the form stability and dimensional stability of the preforms.

  • Patent number: 8294405
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for guiding the movement of a moving machine element on a numerically controlled machine, whereby maximum possible track speed, maximum possible track acceleration, and maximum possible track jerk are defined by means of given restrictions on track axes. The local minima for the maximum possible track speed are determined, whereby for each local minimum a corresponding left-sided and right-sided track speed segment is determined, whereby, for track values for the displacement track to the left and right of a given minimum, the resulting track speed is determined by using the maximum possible track jerk and the maximum possible track acceleration until the track speed exceeds the maximum possible track speed to the left and right of the minimum, a track jerk curve for the movement guidance is hence determined.

  • Patent number: 8274195
Abstract: An electrical machine includes a stator coupled to a machine frame and constructed to produce a magnetic field. A rotor which is connected to a shaft magnetically interacts with the stator and is separated there from by an air gap which is arranged such that the magnetic field within the air gap is directed essentially parallel to the shaft axis during operation of the electrical machine. Arranged between the rotor and the stator is an axial bearing which absorbs attraction forces acting between the stator and the rotor in a direction of the shaft axis. An elastic coupling mechanically couples the stator to the machine frame and is made less stiff than the axial bearing with respect to a force acting in the direction of the shaft axis, and constructed such that a force acting on the rotor in the direction of the shaft axis is able to cause the stator to be translated with respect to the machine frame in the direction of the shaft axis.
