Abstract: A sealing arrangement for a ball-shaped or planar rotary valve of an internal combustion engine comprises a hollow sealing body mounted for rotation in a gas channel of the cylinder head and sealingly engaging the outside sealing surface of the rotary valve. A backside surface of the sealing body turned away from the combustion chamber is permanently exposed to the gas pressure therein in order to urge the sealing body inwards against the rotary valve with a sealing force dependent on the momentary gas pressure.

Abstract: The invention pertains to a tension regulator for elastic tape and the like, particularly in sewing machines adapted to attach tape to a workpiece.This regulator substantially consists of an electromechanical transducer on which the stress produced by tensioning the tape causes a mechanical deformation converted into an electrical signal; this electrical signal, suitably processed, controls a motor means which acts so as to feed or take up tape in order to keep the tension of the same at a constant value.

Abstract: A deviation device for laterally deviating the haul rope of a ropeway along a curvature including a revolving carrier, preferably an endless roller chain, which is guided by rails. The part of the roller chain which is situated nearer to the center of curvature follows the proposed curvature of the rope. Abstract: Two settling tanks are arranged one beside the other and are separated by a walk-in corridor. The settling tanks are defined by four longitudinal walls, one end wall, and two ramps, which are disposed opposite said end wall. Two additional tanks are provided on the opposite side of the end wall. The longitudinal walls carry overflow weirs, which are continued on the outside by discharge troughs, which open into the tank. Owing to the large effective length of the overflow weirs the overflow velocity is low and the settling effect is high.

Abstract: A cap for a drinking cup is provided with an integral lip resting hutch of elliptical shape adjacent the edge of the cap. The peripheral wall of the cap adjoining the hutch is elevated and curved outwards. The hutch bottom surface and the elevated peripheral wall outside surface form acute angles with one another. The cap enables a patient to drink in the natural manner closing a discharge opening in the hutch area by his upper lip.

Abstract: A process of making a container of the dishtype, including, on the one hand, a bottom 40, walls 31 to 34 and 41 to 44 and edges 30a to 30d of exterior cardboard and, on the other hand, of a thermo-formed layer 2 of synthetic material. The edges 30a to 30d are constituted by the sides of a frame 30 and are in one piece. The frame 30 is integral with the walls 31 to 34, bent downward. The bottom 40 is integral with the walls 41 to 44, bent upward and complimentary to the walls 31 to 34. All walls are placed so as to be on the same level and are maintained by the layer 2.
