Patent number: 4505163Abstract: A hub (2) is rigidly torsionwise attached to a leading shaft (1) but free to move axially and radially. A rotary plate (3) is arranged on said hub (2) through a ball bearing (21) and carries a ring (4) provided with four conical transmission surfaces (30, 31). The transmission surfaces (30) of the ring (4) run on surfaces (33) of two rims (7, 8) of a wheel (6) integral with the casing, and the transmission surfaces (31) run on surfaces (34) of two rims (10, 11) of a second wheel (9) attached to the driven shaft (12) and coaxial with the wheel (6). The distance between the rims (7, 8 and 10, 11) is adjustable. When the driving shaft (1) rotates, the ring (4) effects a slow oscillation motion about the leading shaft (1) and transmits such motion to the wheel (9). The two transmission ranges are offset by 180.degree.. The eccentricity is adjustable between a maximum and zero, which allows the obtention of a reduction up to the infinite. A toothing may be provided in the transmission areas.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1982Date of Patent: March 19, 1985Inventor: Raimund Falkner

Patent number: 4477241Abstract: Apparatus for molding curd in calibrated portions, a mixture of curds and whey, introduced into a hopper, fills perforated tubes in which the whey is separated from the curd and becomes compact. A plate closing off the base of the tubes retracts periodically and the curd drops abruptly by a predetermined height onto a subjacent plate, which is sliced by the first plate returning to its original position. The slices of curd are then transferred into one of the molds with a plurality of cells. This is applicable to the manufacture of cheeses of small size.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 1979Date of Patent: October 16, 1984Assignee: Fromageries Bel-La Vache Qui RitInventors: Gaston P. V. Patent number: 4474270Abstract: In a hydrodynamic brake, forming an energy converting mechanism and used for example in connection with heat-exchangers in the utilization of wind-power installations, the torque characteristic of the hydrodynamic brake is adapted to suit the torque characteristic of the power source by making the stator radially displaceable into a position in which its axis is off-center from the axis of the rotor. The stator is eccentrically secured on a shaft and by rotatably mounting the shaft, in the housing, eccentrically of the rotor. In an alternative embodiment, the stator is guided in a rectilinear guide permitting radial displacement.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 1982Date of Patent: October 2, 1984Assignee: VOITH TURBO GmbH & Co. KGInventor: Klaus Vogelsang

Patent number: 4461602Abstract: A milling cutter consists of a shaft 10, a cutter plate 12 and a screw bolt 14 by means of which the cutter plate 12 is detachably fastened at the front end of the shaft 10. The latter has a recess in the front face thereof. The recess is defined by three planar side faces leaving a peripheral gap between each pair thereof. The cutter plate substantially formed triangularly is fitted in the recess for being inmovable in a radial plane. Protrusions 30 of the cutter plate protrude through the gaps and are provided with a cutting edge respectively.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 1982Date of Patent: July 24, 1984Inventor: Otto Zettl

Patent number: 4457160Abstract: In an automatic punching and bending machine the interspace between the bending device and the punching device is adjustable in order to make the interspace as small as possible and to adjust that interspace in dependence on the length of the working piece of a band material, thereby gaining the advantages that series of different work pieces of high precision can be produced in the same machine. The bending device is removable and can easily be replaced by another one which has been reset in a preceding working process. Therefore standstill periods of the machine are reduced.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 1982Date of Patent: July 3, 1984Inventor: Adolf Wunsch

Patent number: 4457255Abstract: A ski waxing machine comprises a housing with an oblong opening in the upper wall. The length and the width of the opening corresponds to the length and the width of a pair of skis arranged side by side. A plurality of supporting elements are arranged within the housing and project into the opening. The skis secured on the feet of a skier are supported by the supporting elements. A guide block can be reciprocated within the housing carrying waxing devices, which project upwards into the opening. The supporting elements can be temporarily removed out of the moving path of the guide block and waxing devices upon approach thereof and are automatically reset into the supporting position after the guide block has passed.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 1983Date of Patent: July 3, 1984Inventor: Peter M. Patent number: 4456270Abstract: A drill chuck consists of a two-piece housing, a two-piece insert and a cage for a plurality of jaws. The two pieces of the housing are threaded together. The rearward piece thereof is a fastening sleeve. The two pieces of the insert are in threaded driving engagement. The front piece is held against rotation and is only shifted axially in order to open or close the mouth formed by the jaws. The rearward piece of the insert is held against axial displacement and can be rotated by inserting a key through a bore of the housing from the rearward side thereof.A drill can be clamped in the chuck and then the chuck with the clamped drill can be inserted in a driving shaft of a drilling machine.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 1981Date of Patent: June 26, 1984Inventors: Otto Zettl, Jr., Otto Zettl, Sr.
