Abstract: A device for separating fine articles as sand from a sludge containing ultrafine articles comprises a continuously rotated substantially horizontal drum having a helical web at the peripheral inside thereof. The mass flow to be separated is deposited in the drum at a place spaced from both ends of the drum. The drum moves the sand at the bottom of the drum to the discharge end thereof, where a water feeding system is arranged providing an oppositely directed fresh water flow which mixes with said ultrafine particles forming a sludge. The sand is elevated at the discharge end of the drum by a plurality of buckets and discharged via an inclined discharge chute through an outlet opening of the drum. The sludge is discharged through the opposite front wall opening through which the mass flow is fed within a feeding tube.
Abstract: A device for folding the edge of a wrapping material wound around a roll against the end of the roll. The device comprises an endless rotating means, such as a chain or a belt, at least one wheel member around which the rotating means is arranged to rotate. Pressing means pivotably attached to the endless rotating means for pressing said edge against the end of the roll when the rotating means is rotated from the circumference of the roll towards the center thereof, and driving means for driving the rotating means characterized in that the pressing means to the rotating means are such that the pressing means when in contact with the end of the roll pivot about an axis parallel with the axis of rotation of the roll (7) to an angle determined by the circumferential velocity of the roll (7) and the speed of movement of the rotating means (1).
Abstract: A vessel according to the invention is intended for cooking food and comprises a body 1 and a lid 2 provided with a cavity 4 to receive water (A). The cavity is disposed in annular form around an elevated portion 5. The internal surface 6 of the lid 2 is substantially arch-shaped, which shape tends to engage the internal walls 7 of the body 1. Thus, the vapor condenses in the center and the droplets flow on the surface 6 so as to fall only on the periphery or flow along the walls 7 so that they do not fall directly on the food B.

Abstract: A stamping and bending machine, having modular structure, comprises a drive unit, a pull-in feed system, a stamping press and one or several bending appliances are disclosed. Every bending appliance comprises one top and one bottom box of oblong shape forming a closed frame thanks to spacing elements. Within every box, there are two drive shafts which actuate bending attachments provided on the front and rear faces of the top as well as of the bottom boxes. The drive shafts of stamping press and of all bending appliances are coupled frontally. The shafts will all be driven at the same high speed, stepping down being performed not earlier than at a take-off gearing comprised in any bending attachment.
Abstract: A container includes a cardboard portion and a portion of synthetic material. The cardboard portion includes a first part having a unitary rim and first wall panels integrally connected to the rim and a second part having a bottom panel and second wall panels. The first and second wall panels are juxtaposed in alternating pattern to form a continuous wall.

Abstract: A fire flap arrangement for installation in a flow channel comprises a housing with opposite front walls and openings in the front walls. A pair of fire flaps are pivoted in said housing and held by means of permanent magnets in rest positions outside of the flow area. A locking bar within the housing can be displaced radially inwards pivoting the fire flaps into their locking positions in which they close the front wall openings. The locking bar in its locking position bridges the pair of fire flaps and presses them outwards against the front walls. The arrangement is actuated by a liquid pressure driven piston, the liquid also serving as a cooling medium for the housing.
Abstract: Apparatus for rating hits on a target comprises two photoelectric detector systems 1, 3. One of said systems is held in position adjacent to the path of travel of a target and is used to measure the distance from an entry hole to the center of the bull's eye of the target in the direction in which the target 18 travels through the apparatus. The other system is mounted on a cross slide 8, which is movable at right angles to the direction of travel of the target and measures the distance from the center of the entry hole to the center of the bull's eye in that transverse direction. The two distance vectors are vectorially summed up by a vector computer and are multiplied with a calibration factor. The result of the measurement may then be displayed, printed or delivered to an electronic data processing system in the form of a tenth-of-a-ring rating.
Abstract: A hydraulic coupling is disclosed which has a primary bladed wheel and a secondary bladed wheel confining a torus-shaped operating space. A blade-free ram space is provided inside the blading of the primary wheel. A delay chamber rotating with the primary wheel is connected by channels respectively to the ram space and to the operating space. In each of the channels, a switchable valve is provided which operates depending on the primary speed. A scoop tube is fixed to the secondary wheel. The scoop tube has inlet opening of the tube in the radially outermost region of the inner space of the coupling. The scoop tube directs operating fluid into the radially inner region of the coupling, from where the fluid can reach the delay chamber through the valve assigned to the channel.
