Abstract: A child-resistant package (100) is formed from a sleeve (14) comprising a top (16) and a base (18), at least one of which is an outer wall of the sleeve (14). A release mechanism (20) for facilitating access to the contents of the package (100) is disposed in the outer wall (16). A decoy cover (60) having at least one outermost panel (62) is disposed in relation to the outer wall (16) to obscure the release mechanism (20). The package (100) may include an insert (12) that is held within the sleeve (14) by a locking mechanism that is disengaged by the release mechanism (20). The decoy cover (60) is attached to the outer wall (16) in a manner that facilitates repeated successive removal and reattachment of the decoy cover (60). The decoy cover (60) may further include one or more additional panels (64) disposed in flat-face condition with the outermost panel (62).

Abstract: An article configuration system comprising a first conveyor (90) for transferring articles (B) from an input and a second conveyor (88), disposed at a non-linear angle relative to the first conveyor, for transferring articles to an output. The article processing system comprises a mechanism (30) for transferring articles from the first conveyor (90) to the second conveyor (88). The mechanism (30) is structured and arranged to facilitate the reorganization of articles conveyed by the first conveyor such that when transferred to the second conveyor the articles are disposed in adjacent metered lanes (124a-124f) and wherein the number of adjacent metered lanes of articles conveyed by the second conveyor (88) is greater than the number of adjacent lanes of articles (100, 102) conveyed by the first conveyor.

Abstract: A child-resistant package including two panels having one or more blister apertures and a particular manner of accessing the product within the blister apertures. One manner of accessing the product involves applying pressure to punch tabs defined by staggered perforations. Another manner of accessing the product uses tooled access slots designed to receive a tool to peel away tab strips to facilitate product access. Yet another manner of accessing utilizes tab strips, one or more folding lines and one or more crevice forming lines where the crevice forming lines are designed to receive a tool used to obtain access to the tab strips, and thus, facilitate access to the products. Still another uses dual tabs that need to be sequentially peeled away from the child resistant package housing to facilitate access to the product contained.

Abstract: Disclosed is a package for storing a product, such as smokeless tobacco, which includes, inter alia, a container that has opposing upper and lower surfaces, and a container sidewall that extends between the upper and lower surfaces to define an interior for storing a plurality of products. The upper surface of the container has an apex intermediate a first region and a second region and the container sidewall defines an opening sized and configured to release at least one of the products. The package also includes an outer cover having an upper section and a cover sidewall depending from the upper section. The outer cover is configured to retain the container and selectively seal the opening. The container pivots about the apex to transition between open and closed positions.

Abstract: A blister card includes graphics printed on a substrate surface, which is then cut to produce an opening through which a blister may be received. The cut-out portion of the substrate is transferred in proper register to a position behind the blister so as to provide a continuous graphic image on the package. A method is also described for providing background graphics on a blister card in the region behind the blister.

Abstract: A sprayer head assembly for dispensing a chemical stored within a container comprises a body having a bore and a valve moveably positioned at least partially within the bore. The sprayer head assembly includes passages for the carrier fluid and the chemical. A vent passage is also provided. The valve selectively closes and opens the carrier fluid, chemical and vent passages. The valve is configured to move in a side to side motion which is generally transverse to a longitudinal axis of the assembly.
