  • Patent number: 7126884
Abstract: In a magneto-optical recording medium, a first magnetic layer is made of a material using a Gd—Fe film or a Gd—Fe—Co film as a base so that a magnetic field normalized based on saturation magnetization of a magnetic domain wall driving field can be smaller than 1. A second magnetic layer is made of a material using a Tb—Fe film or a Dy—Fe film as a base, to which a nonmagnetic element such as Al or Cr, and Co are added. A third magnetic layer is made of a material using a Tb—Fe—Co film or a Dy—Fe—Co film as a base, and an element concentration ratio (at. % ratio) of Tb or Dy to Fe—Co is set in a range of 24.5?Tb?26.5 or 26.5?Dy?29.5. Addition amounts of Co and a nonmagnetic element to each magnetic layer are adjusted to set Curie temperatures Tc11, Tc12, and Tc13 of the first, second and third magnetic layers to Tc13>Tc11>Tc12.

  • Patent number: 7121554
Abstract: In a high-pressure cylinder with an axial plunger, a seal assembly for scaling the gap between the cylinder wall and the plunger. The assembly is disposed in an annual recess in the wall having an open end and a bottom opposite thereto, and comprises a plunger-sealing ring, a cylinder-sealing ring, a resilient low-pressure ring, and an annual seal holder. The seal holder urges the plunger-sealing ring against the cylinder-sealing ring and the low-pressure ring, and urges the latter two rings against the recess bottom and against each other. The plunger-sealing ring and the cylinder-sealing ring are metallic, their mutual contact surfaces are fitted to each other, and the plunger-sealing ring has sufficient section modulus to ensure that under high pressure the contact and bending deformations at the mutual contact surfaces will be sufficiently small as to keep a tight fit therebetween.

  • Patent number: 7123308
Abstract: An angle calculation unit calculates an angle formed by color difference signals R-Y, B-Y of each input pixel. Correction gain calculation units use the angle as a parameter to generate correction gains of hue, chroma, luminance (Y) gamma, and chroma (C) gamma for only correction regions. Accumulators accumulate the respective correction gains. In a circuit including from a multiplier (10) to a multiplier (18), the color difference signals R-Y, B-Y are multiplied by the correction gains of hue and chroma to correct the hue and chroma. A luminance/color difference gamma processing unit uses a correction function and correction gains of Y, C gammas to gamma-correct a luminance signal Y and color difference signals R-Y, B-Y.

  • Patent number: 7117786
Abstract: A stencil printing machine has a rotatable printing drum including an outer peripheral wall of ink impermeable material. A stencil paper is mounted on the surface of the outer peripheral wall. An ink supplying mechanism includes an ink supplying unit in the outer peripheral wall of the printing drum and supplies ink to the surface of the outer peripheral wall. A pressure roller presses a fed print sheet against the outer peripheral wall. When an initial printing operation is performed after a stencil paper is mounted on the printing drum, the ink supplying mechanism is caused to supply the surface of the outer peripheral wall, in advance, with an amount of ink which is larger than an amount of ink which is supplied for second and proceeding printing operations.

  • Patent number: 7120917
Abstract: Described is a process for adjusting an operating interface, event messages, and/or measurement protocols belonging to internet-capable process devices, such as control units (13, 23), sensors (14), and/or actuators (15), to given operating conditions, which devices are connected over interfaces (3, 7, 20) and/or networks and form a component in a process control system. Also described is an arrangement with an interface of this kind. Thus, the invention makes possible an adjustment of the operating interface of internet-capable devices, particularly in process control systems, or of event messages and measurement protocols, to new operating conditions, an adjustment that is considerably easier for the user to manage.
