  • Patent number: 8275130
Abstract: A secret key registration system which registers a secret key in a portable key device and vehicle. A first transformation equation is stored in a writer and the vehicle. A second transformation equation is stored in the portable key device and the vehicle. The writer transmits a registration code to the portable key device and generates intermediate data with the first transformation equation of the writer. The intermediate data is transmitted to the portable key device, which generates the secret key from the intermediate data with the second transformation equation. The portable key device transmits the registration code to the vehicle. The vehicle generates intermediate data from the registration code with the first transformation equation of the vehicle, and then generates the secret key from the intermediate data with the second transformation equation.

  • Patent number: 8275079
Abstract: A communication apparatus, a method, and a tangible machine-readable medium thereof for processing ranging interference of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal. The communication apparatus comprises a receiving unit, a processing unit, and a mask generating unit. The receiving unit receives the OFDM signal having a plurality of OFDM symbols. The processing unit estimates a delay value and an energy value of at least one ranging code according to the OFDM symbols. The mask generating unit generates a mask function according to the delay value and the energy value. Finally, the processing unit synthesizes the ranging interference in the OFDM signal and removes it according to the mask function.

  • Patent number: 8275134
Abstract: A method for guaranteeing the security of critical data, which is used in a terminal including a secured chip and includes the steps of: activating the secured chip by the terminal platform to receive cryptograph A of said critical data; parsing internally by the secured chip the cryptograph A with a preset key A to generate a plaintext, then encrypting said plaintext with a preset key B to generate cryptograph B, and returning the cryptograph B to the terminal platform. Since cryptograph conversion is performed inside the secured chip, and the process of converting the cryptograph A to the cryptograph B is completed inside the secured chip as a one-shot action, the secured chip cannot be eavesdropped upon or stolen by any vicious software, and thus the critical data is guaranteed to be always in a cryptograph status from the secured input device to the remote server, which ensures the security of the critical data.

  • Patent number: 8267025
Abstract: A jack plate for vertically raising and lowering an outboard motor mounted on a boat. The jack plate comprises a motor lift and a jack plate mounting assembly. The jack plate mounting assembly has a transom plate and a pair of spacing brackets with jack plate rails. The motor lift has a pair of bearings that are interlocked to a lift plate. The motor lift is slidably situated within the jack plate rails. Complementary geometries of the outer side edges of the lift plate and inner edges of channels in the bearings, as well as the spacing between the jack plate rails, provide a pressure fit that secures the lift plate between the bearings once the bearings are inserted into the jack plate rails.

  • Patent number: 8268265
Abstract: An apparatus and method for picking up, transporting and depositing microscopic samples. Such an apparatus includes at least one interchangeable adhesive body and a gripping tool for picking up, transporting and depositing the adhesive body, the adhesive body having at least one outwardly curved surface which is at least partially adhesive with respect to the sample. In this method, a gripping tool picks up an adhesive body having an at least partially outwardly curved surface which is at least partially adhesive with respect to the sample. The gripping tool then guides the adhesive body to above the sample. The at least partially curved surface of the adhesive body is then brought into contact with the sample, the sample adheres to the surface of the adhesive body when this is being removed from the sample location, and is finally deposited at the depositing location.
