A 7414 chip is provided to debounce the DC imposed on the low voltage circuit by the manual switches, and a chip with a toggle function is positioned in series between the 7414 chip and the high voltage circuit. Each manually actuated switch is capable, in each full throw thereof, of producing an OFF/ON/OFF, or ON/OFF/ON sequence.
Abstract: An elongated frame made up of rails, and having a main endless belt conveyor for carrying parts of sandwiches, and completed sandwiches through the machine. A slicer carriage is mounted on and above the frame, having an endless slicer belt means parallel with the main belt for gripping the sandwiches between the belts for conveying them. The slicer belt means is made up of transversely spaced belts, forming a space therebetween, and a slicer blade is operable in the space between the belts. The main belt has a longitudinal groove in its outer surface, to receive the edge of the blade to enable the blade to cut entirely through the sandwiches and in slicing them. The slicing carriage, and the slicer blade, each individually, are vertically adjustable for accommodating sandwiches of different thickness.
Abstract: A T.V camera in center field beyond the playing field directed at the home plate along a main axis. The camera senses the baseball in the strike zone. A second T.V. camera directed at the home plate in direction perpendicular to the main axis, which also senses the baseball in the strike zone, but in an area between the front end limits of the home plate. The two T.V. cameras are connected in series and serve to control the scoreboard and show on the scoreboard when the baseball in its passage by the strike zone constitutes a strike.
Abstract: The apparatus includes a plurality of cutter blades arranged around a vertical central axis. The lettuce head is placed above the cutter blades, with the core directed downward, and it is pushed downwardly against the cutter blades, and the cutter blades cut into the head, around the core. The core is thereby cut out, and it falls out and discarded.
Abstract: A single card having a pair of icons on each side thereof, distributed longitudinally. Each icon includes a representation of an open book showing facing pages and a dot indicating upper or lower locations on a page of the book. A letter R or L indicates whether the location is on the right or left page. A modified form includes a double arrangement for use in the case when the pages of the book have two columns on each page.
Abstract: A board having yard markings representing a football field, with a hole at each yard marking, for detachably insertion of pins representing the scrimmage line, and the 10-yard line from the scrimmage line. Dice are rolled for determining the kind of play and the yardage gained or lost. The dice are in groups each containing more than one die; all to the dice in each groups are of the same color, but those in the different groups are of different colors. Game includes rules for determining the plays, the selection of plays, when there is a choice, and the score thereof.
Abstract: A glove for preventing carpal tunnel syndrome. It includes a flexible open-ended sleeve with a side thumb hole. It has a cushion on the inner surface of the front of the glove, which covers the carpal tunnel area. The sleeve is highly yieldable and elastic and is essentially of single thickness throughout.
Abstract: Decorative beads strung on a thread, and such string of beads are wrapped on a bead bar to form a tube of beads and the beads are threaded together to secure them in the tube form. The bead bar is one of many in a frame, and all the beads thus mounted in the frame produce a pleasant and decorative effect, and the frame cooperates with the beads in producing that effect. The beads are secured together, and secured in the frame solely by the thread, and without the use of adhesives. The beads are of a wide variety of characteristics, and the frames are of different shapes, and a great variety of jewelry articles are produced, including bracelets, necklaces, brooches.
Abstract: A connector made of two pieces, each piece being a single one-piece stamping, the pieces having mutually engaging hooks forming camming elements. The pieces are mounted on the exterior surfaces of the members of the frame to be connected. The connectors at certain locations in the frame are opposite and symmentrical, but otherwise identical in construction.
Abstract: A single-piece, integral article having spaced parallel, open end prongs frictionally fitted on the prongs of a conventional presser foot on a sewing machine. The article has a pin which, when the article is applied in place, is spaced horizontally from the needle in the sewing machine, and the sewing thread is wrapped around the pin and held from becoming entangled.
Abstract: A compound cover made up of a pair of cover parts of a diameter substantially the same as the kettle. The cover parts rest on the kettle in stacked arrangement, and are rotatable relative to each other. The parts have hole, therethrough in a common pattern, and can be rotated to put the holes in complete register, and out of register where all the holes are completely blocked. The cover parts are of inverted conical shape to facilitate drainage of condensed water back into the kettle. In a modified form, the parts have stepped formation at the periphery for fitting any of a series of different sized kettles within a wide range.
Abstract: A safety seat including a one-piece shell made of molded plastic with reinforcing elements imbedded therein. The shell has an interior space opening to the exterior and including a seat for an infant. The shell includes a detachable bail for holding playthings for the infant. The seat has a wide bottom and a narrow, and small, top, and has weights imbedded in the bottom, effecting movement of the seat to upright position in the water.

Abstract: Hand held tool having a pair of gripper rollers and a cutter roller, all of which grip and hold the tube to be cut. An electric motor in the casing drives the gripper rollers and rotates the tube. A second motor in the casing moves the cutter roller into cutting engagement with the tube. The second motor also moves the cutter to accommodate different size tubes. The motors are manipulated by the hand of the operator.
Abstract: A plastic dental article, including an outer container made up of an outer shell and a tubular insert. It also includes a stem having an interdental pick and a brush near the pick but spaced slightly therefrom. The container is non-spill, when turned over, either when the stem is in place therein, or removed therefrom.

Abstract: A main opaque shade, and one or more translucent shades, all on rollers, and capable of being individually drawn and retracted. They are positioned as in layers fore to fore and spaced from inner to outer positions, with the opaque shade outermost. The translucent shades let substantial light through and have patterns or figures thereon to cast patterns in the inner space. When more than one translucent shade is used, they can be adjusted toward and from the main opaque shade.
Abstract: A detector in a space to be sensed and controlled gives an electrical signal upon fumes in the space reaching a predetermined level. An electrical circuit is thereby energized to operate a fan to exhaust the space. Inlet and outlet openings in the structure enclosing the space are biased closed but open in response to air pressure on operation of the fan. Also the main door is opened by mechanism actuated by the signal. When the main door is open, the circuitry for opening the main door is open, and there is no actuating the apparatus.
