  • Patent number: 5256838
Abstract: A slide element has legs springable toward and from each other, the legs having pins on their mutually opposed inner surfaces insertable into a hole in the switch actuating lever. The slide element extends longitudinally of the lever, and therebeyond. A blocking element fits over the slide element, and locks it in place, on the lever, and holds it immovably within the blocking element. The blocking element reacts with elements of the switch to hold itself in place, and thus hold the switch lever in position. One form of the device includes a locking lever for mechanically forcing the blocking element down against the switch into blocking position.

  • Patent number: 5253501
Abstract: Bending preshaped sheet metal pieces that have a web and side flanges, by stretching on one side, and compressing on the other side, by utilizing opposed rollers. They can be, and are, selectively bent into cylinder shapes or cone shapes. The bending steps produce folds in the extended edges of the flanges, of circular cross sectional shape, and in one form, are of large dimensions on one side and of small dimensions on the other side, and adjacent pieces are interconnected by placing the large fold of one piece over and encompassing the small fold of the other piece, to form lids of great area.

  • Patent number: 5238494
Abstract: A coating machine with counter-flow and parallel-flow air conduction is used for coating tablets, granules, pellets, dragees and the like with one or more coating compositions. The cores to be coated are arranged in a rotatably driven, perforated drum which includes an air conducting channel surrounding the drum at its outer periphery, which air channel is provided with air from an air supply fixed to the housing, with air streams differently directed into the drum. In order to provide an operationally reliable, positively controlled and easy-to-clean air distributor, an annular distributor plate is mounted rotatably on an annular flange fixed to the housing, the distributor plate having slots therein which are connected to the air connections of the air supply, and the annular flange is in turn connected in an airtight manner to the air conducting channel of the drum by part-annular chambers separate from each other.

  • Patent number: 5199836
Abstract: A T-nut having a lower head, and an upper shank, the shank fitting in the narrow portion of the T-slot. The head and the shank have chamfers and radiuses enabling the T-nut to be rotated in the T-slot, into active/locking position. On the shank, the radiuses dimensioned for either clearance or interference fit with the sides of the slot. In a second form, a locking washer positively locks the T-nut in active position. Also included is an arrangement of spacers and T-nuts for mounting a drill through plate on the table of the milling machine.

  • Patent number: 5163193
Abstract: Four post units in a positional pattern on which the patient lies, in a surgery operation. The post units are supported on a table, and have recesses in their under surface forming vacuum chambers with the table top. Hoses lead from the vacuum chambers to a vacuum source, and valve means individually control the hoses. The post units are thus locked in place by vacuum, and each can be released individually to enable it to be adjustably moved on the table top to enable better positioning for engagement by the patient.

  • Patent number: 5150979
Abstract: A barrel, and a hollow cup-shape insert in the front end thereof, forming a capillary space between itself and the barrel. The insert has a closed front end, the tip portions of the insert and the barrel form a ball seat in which the writing ball is positioned, and the capillary space leads to the ball. The rear end of the insert is open and communicates with the main space in the rear portion of the barrel. A flexible bag is positioned in the rear of the barrel, for filling through a filler tube which constantly vents the interior. The main space in the rear portion of the barrel and that in the insert together form a single continuous space, substantially without internal obstruction. The ink is in the form of a main body of fluid, freely flowing, aqueous ink. When the pen is laid on its side, the body of ink communicates with the capillary space, filling it by capillarity action, and that ink feeds by capillary action to the ball.

  • Patent number: 5135108
Abstract: The relay with water tight baseplate includes grooves in the region of the baseplate, through which (the grooves) the joining pins of the relay reach, and the inner space between the grooves and the joining pins is tightly filled with a casting mass. For this better distribution of the casting mass, the rabbet canals are arranged in the baseplate and the glue is positioned in the rabbet canals. The rabbets can hereby be formed as one-sided, open profile canals, or also as an enclosed canal system, which simply strikes the region around the grooves with casting mass (FIG. 1). The relay also includes connecting structure between the baseplate and the cap which utilizes rabbet/groove structure filled with casting mass.

  • Patent number: 5122624
Abstract: A one-piece molded plastic item, having an original and unfolded condition, and foldable into the double condition, and having ribs and channels on one surface in the unfolded condition which interface in the folded condition and form recesses for receiving the actuating lever of a switch. It has locking pins entering into holes in the switch lever. The recess is at an angle corresponding to that of the switch lever, and a binding effect is produced between the recess and switch lever. The folded halves of the item produce a self-locking effect. A second form can be applied to a plurality of side-by-side switches, but is not folded but receives the switch levers in recesses.

  • Patent number: 5105390
Abstract: A sonde is secured to the end of an electrical cable and is inserted is a bore hole by means of the electrical cable. The sonde has a transmitter and receiver. The other end of the cable is secured to apparatus on the surface, and the apparatus includes means for forming a signal transmitting it through the cable to the transmitter, the transmitter emitting the signal from the sonde, that signal bouncing off of the wall of the bore hole and then back to the receiver. The signal is then sent from the receiver through the cable to the apparatus on the ground. That apparatus also has means for recording the results of the signals so formed and mainpulated. The transmitter and the receiver in the sonde are placed together, not more than one half of the wave length of the signal, and to a spacing as small as zero, with transmitter and receiver effectively in one location.

  • Patent number: 5056493
Abstract: A fuel tank, for a vehicle or heating plant, includes a flexible air container therein, forming a fuel space outside the air container. The air container seals the interior of the fuel tank to the exterior and the fuel vapors in the fuel tank are drawn off and directed into the engine and burned. The vapors can be so drawn off by the vacuum produced by the engine, or by a pump. Fresh air from the exterior is drawn into and through the air container and directed into the fuel mixture for combustion, clearing out any vapors that may have collected in the air container. A filter is controllably utilized for adsorbing, or absorbing the vapors, and fresh air is controllably drawn into the filter for clearing those vapors out and directing them into the fuel mixture for combustion.
