Abstract: A rotary lautering machine is provided vertical blades, each blade having a pivotally attached sweeping foot. The sweeping feet are rotated from a first lautering position to a second sweeping position by pressure exerted on the feet by material in the lautering vessel. When the lautering machine rotates in one direction, the feet pivot to the lautering position. When the machine rotates in the opposite direction, the feet pivot to the sweeping position.

Abstract: Cabinet drawers are supported by members projecting from the sides of the drawers into slots defined by guide rails at the sides of the cabinet. Notches in the guide rails permit the drawers to pivot into an inclined position when the drawers are opened. This makes objects within the drawers more visible and accessible.
Abstract: A separable blade agitator has a glass coated drive shaft and a glass coated impeller interference fitted to the end of the shaft in a gasketless, glass surface to glass surface joint. The interference fitting of the impeller to the shaft is accomplished by super cooling the end of the shaft with nitrogen or the like so that it can be inserted into a glass coated bore in the impeller.

Abstract: A power supply provides direct current to electrodes attached to a patient. The positive electrode is at least partially silver and releases silver ions as a result of the electric current. Silver ions have known bactericidal properties and may be used to treat infected living tissue. Tissue may, however, be damaged by voltages in excess of 1.1 volts. Accordingly, the power supply has two modes. Under normal conditions the power supply has a constant current output. If the voltage between the electrodes reaches a reference voltage of not more than 1.1 volt, the output is changed to a constant voltage mode, abruptly limiting the output voltage. A mode indicator may be incorporated in the supply.
Abstract: A conductive object detector having an eddy current killed oscillator, wherein the oscillator output is stabilized by means of a proportional plus integral controller. The controller proportional gain is set low and the integral time long, hence a conductive object near the oscillator will "kill" it, whereas the controller will minimize the effect of temperature or aging on the oscillator output.
Abstract: PCT No. PCT/DE78/00027 Sec. 371 Date June 15, 1979 Sec. 102(e) Date June 11, 1979 PCT Filed Oct. 16, 1978In dental treatment apparatuses with a plurality of instruments which are connected to a supply component across spirally coiled supply lines attached to the apparatus at an upper level, and with a mounting for the instruments disposed at a lower level, it is required that the instruments be able to be removed from and inserted into the mounting comfortably and without mutual disturbance.
Abstract: A quick opening manhole cover including a clamping flange (16) which captures the ears (48) of a locking ring (46) upon rotation of the locking ring with respect to a manhole cover (40). The manhole cover has an O.D. less than the I.D. of the manhole for axial movement into the manhole. A gasket (42) about the manhole cover is clamped between the locking ring (46), manhole cover (40) and against the manhole surface upon axial movement of the manhole cover towards the locking ring.

Abstract: A fluid resistor with a fluid tight structure including two planar members having a surface of each contacting in close proximity. One of the planar members has a laminated structure including a substrate and at least one thin layer of substantially uniform thickness formed on the substrate. A groove extends through the layer. The groove and the surface of the other planar member define a capilliary passageway of substantially constant depth for restricted fluid flow.
Abstract: A symmetrical, balanced, glass coated, four bladed impeller for use in closed vessels having blades arranged so that the impeller may fit through a relatively small manhole even though the effective diameter of the impeller is substantially larger than the manhole.

Abstract: An electronic circuitry servicing system having an operations manual setting forth servicing procedures such as function checking, troubleshooting, and calibration, a template fitting on the circuit being serviced and providing probe access to test points of the surface and graphic information about the circuit and a test fixture for coordinating test signals and measurements.
Abstract: A wind-chill indicator including a rotameter, a thermometer, and wind chill chart arranged such that the rotameter float's position indicates the chart value expressing the "wind-chill" effect corresponding to the existing velocity and temperature of the wind.
Abstract: An endodontic instrument formed by twisting a tapered blank which in cross section is ground to an oblique parallelogram, the obtuse angles of the oblique parallelogram cross section being between 105.degree.-120.degree..
Abstract: A pneumatic mechanism for dental units wherein a differential pressure applied directly to the utility supply line acts to move the line to a stored position within the unit.
Abstract: Interpolating apparatus is provided for more accurately determining the peak position of a function, particularly a cross-correlation function derived from two related flow signals fed to an overloading counter correlation flowmeter, whereby the peak position is indicated by a set of signals corresponding to quantized values of a parameter and the apparatus interpolates the peak position from selected signals of the set. The preferred method of operation comprises computing for each of the signals an average of the quantized values of the parameter corresponding to that signal, and summing a predetermined number of these average values to obtain an indication of an interpolated value of the peak position. Various output circuits are provided for flowmeter applications to produce an output which is proportional to flow rate.
