Abstract: Container, in particular, an insulated container with an outlet (8) that can be closed by a cover (9) and having a pouring spout and a drip-catch device which is arranged beneath a pouring spout, wherein the pouring spout (19) is removably disposed above the drip-catch device (26) in outlet (8) (FIG. 1).
Abstract: Alloys for medical, surgical and microsurgical instruments are proposed which comprise 0.01% to 20% by weight of germanium, from 0-25% of shallow hydrogenic and/or non-hydrogenic acceptor dopants in terms of weight ratio in relation to germanium, from 0% up to 20% by weight of one or more of the following compounds such as platinum, gold, palladium, iridium, ruthenium, osmium, rhodium, niobium, tantalum, tungsten, aluminium, silicon, hafnium, yttrium, lanthanum, zirconium with the remainder, up to 100% by weight, constituted by silver and inevitable impurities, wherein instruments from these alloys possess properties such as no capacitive impedance in relation to the electrode-tissue interface; a Far Infrared Radiation (FIR) emitting capacity when energized by any form of energy; sulfurization, corrosion and oxidation resistant and have suitable hardness for their intended use; emit anions and may possess fractal surfaces.
Abstract: A carrying bag for a brass instrument includes a shell made of flexible material and having opposite end portions. A transport member, e.g. a handle, is secured to the shell. Arranged in the interior of the shell at one of the end portions adjacent to a bell of a brass instrument is a closed stiffening frame which is made of a firm material. The stiffening frame includes a ring-shaped closed end piece and a rim portion attached all-round about the end piece and pointing toward the interior of the shell.
Abstract: The invention relates to a retractable leash for animals, having a housing containing a spring-biased reel in which the remaining length of leash can be taken up and which is stoppable by an actuating mechanism for adjustment of the maximum extension length of the leash as required, and by providing for the slack section of the leash to be taken up automatically by the reel when this maximum extension length is not being used, thus ensuring that the leash is always taut without restricting the animal's freedom of movement unnecessarily.
Abstract: A transitional object in the form of a plush creature having arms and legs with a soothing voice that provides comforting words can be activated by squeezing a sensor located in either foot and prompting soothing phrases including “everything is going to be all right” to reduce the level of stress and anxiety in a person.
Abstract: In a transmission cable (1) for medical signal values, several single cables (2,5,6,7) of different cable type are integrated in a common cable sheath (3), wherein each cable type is configured for transmission of a particular medical signal value; the multifunctional transmission cable (1) is thus used in particular for integration of the signal values for temperature and nitrogen content in blood as well as ECG and blood pressure.
Abstract: A method is disclosed wherein weakened zones are provided in plastic trim parts in the from of cuts produced by means of an ultra sound cutting method, and wherein the cuts can be made suitably narrow and extending through the thickness of a multilayered plastic trim part in a manner that the cuts are without jagged edges and remain invisible on the visible side even when the cut extends though a decorative layer of the multilayered plastic part even after long term storage under heat.
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of carbopyronine compounds of general formula (I) as marker groups in methods for detecting analytes. The invention also relates to novel carbopyronine compounds and to a method for producing same.

Abstract: Process for removing deposits from water-carrying systems and devices for water supply, or from their individual parts, in which the deposits are dissolved by means of an aqueous treatment solution and removed in dissolved form from the system or the device or their individual parts, wherein the deposits are dissolved by means of an aqueous treatment solution comprised of a combination of (i) a reducing agent, in particular in the form of a slat-like, reducing sulfur-oxygen compound, nitrogen-oxygen compound or phosphorous-oxygen compound, and (ii) a complexing agent having phosphonic acid groups or phosphonate groups or a complexing agent of the hydroxy acid type at pH values in the range of approximately 4.5 to 9.5, in particular from approximately 6.0 to 8.0.

Abstract: Arrangement for the relative relocation of a current collector relative to the trolley wire includes an electric drive coupled to a pivoting shaft of the current collector pressed against the trolley wire by force of a spring; with a rapid-action lowering unit in the form of a piston-cylinder aggregate integrated into a actuating member and provided in the form of an energy storage reservoir under pressure, so that the energy storage and the electrical drive are coupled with a sensor coupled to the current collector.
