Abstract: The invention relates to a drill, especially a Forstner bit or a multi-spur machine bit having a drill shaft and a cutter head and provided with a central mandrel, a first and second spur cutter radially extending towards the outside from said mandrel and in opposite tool approach directions; a respective hollow cylinder segment wall has a circumference cutter defining the circumference of the cutter head and is joined to the ends of the first and second spur cutter, said ends facing the circumference, wherein the wall defines a chip space facing away from the spur cutter and opening to the respective remaining spur cutter and leading to the drill head, and wherein the two cutters are provided with wave-shaped cavities and elevations at least partially along the sides thereof.

Abstract: A film camera is disclosed which is equipped with a device for recording synchronizing data, for use in automated post processing, wherein, for example, timing data is exposed onto the film by means of an optical display element activated by an activator unit and with a rotary shutter positioned so that at a first half rotation of the shutter the light entering through the camera objective is deflected through the viewfinder and during the second half rotation of the shutter the light enters an image window and wherein the activator unit comprises a shutter drive which controls the actuation of the shutter over which the rotating shutter is held in an arrested position covering the image window during exposure of the film by the optical display element.

Abstract: A deflector-mixing head for a reaction molding machine, comprises a mixing chamber with a control piston for regulation of component inflow, an overflow chamber is arranged downstream from the mixing chamber in a perpendicular position thereto and provided with a cleaning piston which controls the opening and closing of the mixing chamber side of the inlet of the overflow chamber, wherein an improved mixing quality is obtained by arranging a connection chamber substantially parallel to the axis of the overflow chamber, between the mixing and overflow chambers and provided with deflector elements positioned in the flow path between the inlet and the outlet side of the connecting chamber, and by arranging a displacement piston parallel to the cleaning piston for emptying the connection chamber.

Abstract: Elastography is an ultrasound imaging method, which visualizes the elastic properties of biological tissue which is often impossible with conventional ultrasound images. The tissue is hereby compressed. The local tissue strain can be visualized by comparing the ultrasound images acquired before and after compression, in order to differentiate between hard and soft tissue types. In this comparison, the time shifts of corresponding ultrasound echo signals are computed locally at one or more locations, which is time-consuming with conventional methods. The system for fast calculation of strain images from ultrasound echo signals described in this patent calculates iteratively the zero crossing of the phase of the complex HF-echo signals that are downshifted into the baseband.

Abstract: The invention relates to a breast prosthesis for breast-amputated women with a flexible plastic body comprising two plastic sheets connected to each other along their common edge and a plastic mass enclosed between the two plastic sheets, wherein the plastic body has a front side formed to resemble the contour of the natural breast and a back side capable of facing the torso of the person, and an elastically deformeable thin part secured with its edge to the back side of the plastic body. In order to improve the wear comfort of the breast prosthesis, the thin part is secured to the plastic body inside the common edge of the connected plastic sheets.

Abstract: A process of monitoring the function of a spray stream, includes the steps of determining a first signal commensurate with noise in proximity of the spray stream when exiting a spray gun, determining a second signal commensurate with noise in an environment further distant to the spray stream, separating from the first and second signals a wanted signal, and analyzing the wanted signal for evaluation of the effectiveness of the spray stream.
