  • Patent number: 5528349
Abstract: A developer container has a cylindrical container body with a bottom end and an open end and a cap closing the open end of the container body. The developer container has a spiral rib, a outlet opening and a bank portion. The spiral rib is formed on the inner surface of the container body. The outlet opening is formed on the side surface in vicinity of one end of the container body, whereby the rotation of the container disposed horizontally causes a developer contained in the container to move to one end of the container along the spiral rib and to flow out through the outlet opening. The bank portion is formed on the inner surface at the upstream side of the outlet opening with respect to the rotational direction of the container, the bank portion being positioned in the vicinity of the outlet opening and being continuous with the terminate end of the spiral rib.

  • Patent number: 5526563
Abstract: A flexible wiring board is constructed by placing, on a surface of a flexible ultraviolet-transmissive base member in the form of a layer, a conductive member in the form of a layer and a covering member in the form of a layer. The conductive member has an exposed leading area not covered with the covering member. A lead is aligned with an electrode and they are connected together with pressure exerted by a pressure applying jig which is ultraviolet-transmissive. A photosetting adhesive resin capable of shrinking in volume is injected between the flexible wiring board and a printed circuit board. The photosetting adhesive resin is irradiated with ultraviolet passing through the pressure applying jig and the base member. When irradiated with the ultraviolet rays, the photosetting adhesive resin hardens. Volume shrinkage force exerted by the photosetting adhesive resin enhances the connection between the lead and the electrode.

  • Patent number: 5527551
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a continuous sheet of molten, moldable or plasticized material, especially a food product such as cheese. The invention may also be used to form a continuous sheet of other food products, such as noodles, peanut butter, jellies and the like. The apparatus comprises at least two sets of opposed rollers and a pair of endless belts. At least one of the first set of rollers, defined as forming rollers for purposes of distinction, has a concave surface. Each of another set of rollers, defined as discharge rollers for purposes of distinction, is disposed downstream from the first set of rollers and has a substantially flat surface. Each endless belt circulates about a group of rollers comprised of a forming roller and a discharge roller. In the region between opposed roller sets, the endless belts cooperate with each other and with the rollers to form a pocket that receives and maintains the cheese.

  • Patent number: 5527299
Abstract: The invention provides a one-piece rotator and manifold system and method of operating the same. The system comprises a manifold having an integral stem formed on its proximal end, a O-ring, and a cylindrical outer member. The integral stem has a spigot and a circular flange having a stepped surface which are received in a recess formed in the cylindrical outer member. The O-ring is disposed within the recess and encircles the spigot. During pressurization, the stepped surface is forced axially and radially into the outer cylindrical member and acts to prevent the outer cylindrical member from decoupling from the manifold.

  • Patent number: 5524347
Abstract: A movable blade cartridge including a platform member having a blade seat and a guard member. The guard member is located of forward and parallel to the blade seat so as to form a longitudinal slot between the blade seat and the guard member. A primary blade which is disposed on the blade seat such that the cutting edge of the blade is located rearwardly of the guard member. A substantial portion of the primary blade extends into the slot formed between the guard member and the blade seat such that the blade is flexible into the slot. A spacer is located on the upper surface of the primary blade. The spacer comprises a rear portion which functions to separate the primary blade and a secondary blade, as well as a forward portion which extends from the rear portion and functions to prevent upward movement of the primary blade, and create an opening beneath the forward portion of the spacer and the lower surface of the secondary blade.

  • Patent number: 5526490
Abstract: A processor element is provided with a data transfer control circuit that sends out an address count pulse (ACNT) onto a control bus. N data transfer channels each contain a data transfer buffer and a buffer control circuit. The buffer control circuit comprises an identification number register, an input/output control circuit, an address counter, and a comparison circuit. The address counter holds a channel address that is preset in such a way as to allow each channel to take the same channel address number, and increments such a channel address each time it receives the ACNT. If the identification number and the channel address coincide, the data transfer buffer in the same channel is selected. The number of interconnecting wires can be reduced and the transfer of data can be carried out at a high transfer rate, in a multiprocessor system whose linking network between each processor is formed by a series of data transfer channels.

  • Patent number: 5525430
Abstract: An optical shutter which responds to temperature may be caused to respond to an electrical current by placing a transparent conductor of electricity parallel to and in thermal contact with it, and by running an electrical current through the transparent conductor, such that the transparent conductor is resistively heated, and thereby heats the optical shutter. The above transparent conductor may be used simultaneously as a component of a transparent insulation. The electrical current may be controlled by a photosensor, a temperature sensor, a thermostat, and/or a manual switch.

  • Patent number: 5525023
Abstract: A chip component supply apparatus of the invention includes a container box for storing chip components in pieces, a means for conveying chip components from the container box onto a conveyor belt, which moves intermittently and conveys the transferred chip components toward a take-out port area where a vacuum suction nozzle of an electronic component placement machine takes out the chip components. A stopper is positioned in the vicinity of the take-out port area for stopping the chip components conveyed by the conveyor belt at the take-out port area. The stopper moves and departs from the vicinity of the take-out port area when the conveyor belt finishes intermittent motion and stops, and returns and is positioned at the take-out port area before the next chip component conveyed by next intermittent motion of the conveyor belt reaches the take-out port area.
