Abstract: A handheld mobile phone includes at least two buttons, a logic circuit, and a processing unit, wherein each button is used for performing at least one specific function. The logic circuit is coupled to the at least two buttons for generating a corresponding specific signal when one of the at least two buttons is pressed alone, and for generating at least a control signal when all of the at least two buttons are pressed. The processing unit executes the specific function of the pressed button according to the corresponding specific signal. When all of the at least two buttons are pressed, the processing unit controls the handheld mobile phone to enter a reset state from an operating state according to at least the control signal.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a barrier layer, and a sealant. The display panel includes a backplane and a frontplane disposed on the backplane, wherein the frontplane includes a plurality of frontplane sidewalls. The frontplane sidewalls at least include a first frontplane sidewall and a second frontplane sidewall, forming a frontplane concavity. The barrier layer includes a first barrier layer sidewall and a second barrier layer sidewall, wherein the first barrier layer sidewall and the second barrier layer sidewall form a barrier layer concavity. The barrier layer concavity corresponds to the frontplane concavity, and at least one of the barrier layer concavity and the frontplane concavity does not include a right angle. The sealant is disposed in a sealant accommodating space defined by the frontplane sidewalls of the frontplane, an inner surface of the backplane and an inner surface of the barrier layer.
Abstract: A barcode evaluation method for receiving an input image, performing an evaluation along a scanning direction upon the input image, and generating a barcode evaluation data includes: deriving at least one first luminance group in the input image according to a luminance threshold; documenting a plurality of characteristic values corresponding to the at least one luminance group, respectively; referring to a plurality of characteristic values of at least one specific first luminance group within the first luminance group to determine a distribution direction, and determining whether the specific first luminance group belongs to a barcode; and utilizing a processing element to generate the barcode evaluation data according to the input image, the distribution direction and the scanning direction.
Abstract: A liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) cell structure includes a substrate, a plurality of top metal regions arranged in an array, a dielectric material filling between the top metal regions and a composite post spacer disposed on the dielectric material and encircling to form a cell space. The composite post spacer includes a first dielectric layer disposed on the dielectric material and a spacer material layer disposed on the first dielectric layer. The spacer material layer and the first dielectric layer are substantially different.
Abstract: An image display device includes a display unit, a storage unit, a voice receiving unit and a processing unit. The storage unit stores a plurality of image data, a plurality of voice data and a plurality of image files, wherein each of the image data is corresponding to one of the voice data respectively. The voice receiving unit receives a current voice. The processing unit judges whether the current voice is similar to one of the voice data, so as to determine one image data corresponding to the current voice. When the current voice is similar to one of the voice data, the processing unit determines whether each of the image files contains the image data corresponding to the current voice and then displays the image file(s), which contain the image data corresponding to the current voice, on the display unit.
Abstract: A gate driver on array of a display includes a substrate having a peripheral region, and a gate driver on array structure formed in the peripheral region. The gate driver on array structure includes a pull-down transistor, and the pull-down transistor has a gate electrode, an insulating layer, a semiconductor island, a source electrode, and a drain electrode. The semiconductor island extends out of both edges of the gate electrode, and extends out of an edge of the source electrode and an edge of the drain electrode.
Abstract: A DLL system that automatically resets after a frequency change of an external clock according to a phase difference includes: a clock receiver for receiving the external clock and generating a clock signal; a delay line, coupled to the clock receiver, for generating a delayed clock signal; a control loop, for tracking a phase difference between the clock signal and the delayed clock signal and locking the delay line when the phase difference is zero; and an N degrees phase detector (PD), coupled to the control loop, for detecting the phase difference between the clock signal and the delayed clock signal and outputting a positive signal when the detected phase difference is greater than N degrees, wherein the positive signal generates a reset signal to the DLL system.

Abstract: A manufacturing method of thin film transistor substrate of a liquid crystal display panel includes following steps. A substrate is provided. Then, a transparent conducting layer and an opaque conducting layer are formed on the substrate. Thereafter, the transparent conducting layer and the opaque conducting layer are patterned by a gray-tone mask to form at least one storage capacitor electrode. Next, a first insulating layer is formed on the storage capacitor electrode. Then, at least one gate electrode is formed on the substrate. Subsequently, at least one gate insulating layer, a patterned semiconductor layer, a source electrode, a drain electrode, and a second insulating layer are formed sequentially on the gate electrode. Moreover, at least one pixel electrode is formed on the first insulating layer and the second insulating layer. A part of the pixel electrode overlaps a part of the storage capacitor electrode to form a storage capacitor.

Abstract: A substrate having buried address lines and a first dielectric layer is provided. A conductive electrode is formed in the first conductive layer. A top portion of the conductive electrode is exposed. A second dielectric layer is deposited on surface of the exposed top portion. The second dielectric layer defines a recess around the top portion. A third dielectric layer is deposited over the second dielectric layer. A portion of the third dielectric layer and a portion of the second dielectric layer are removed, thereby exposing a top surface of the top portion of the conductive electrode. The top portion of the conductive electrode is salicidized to form a heating stem. The remaining third dielectric layer is selectively removed from the recess. A phase-change material layer covers the heating stem and the second dielectric layer. The phase-change material layer is etched, thereby forming a phase-change storage cap.

Abstract: A portable navigation device displaying map information and navigation instructions for use in a vehicle is disclosed. The portable navigation device includes a memory, a display for displaying the map information and navigation instructions, and a microphone for inputting sound signals to the portable navigation device. A processor is used for controlling operation of the portable navigation device and for determining the speed of the vehicle. To determine the speed, the processor receives the sound signals input by the microphone, analyzes the sound signals, determines a speed at which the vehicle is moving according to characteristics of the analyzed received sound signals when not receiving Global Positioning System (GPS) signals with the portable navigation device, and estimates a current location of the vehicle based on the determined speed of the vehicle.
