Abstract: A cosmetic dosing system or kit may provide a display arranged to house one or more dosing containers and a handle. The one or more dosing containers may house cosmetic product and provide applicators that may be interchangeable with the handle. A magnetic closure may be utilized to attach the one or more dosing containers to the handle. The cosmetic dosing system or kit may provide a luxurious display that may reduce contamination of cosmetic product and prevent cosmetic product from drying.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for forming a catalyzed dye system. The method includes the successive steps of (1) forming a mixture comprising at least one dye precursor and a catalyst and (2) adding an alkalizer to the mixture, which forms a catalyzed dye system. The dye system may be exposed to hair for less time than standard oxidative dye systems, which is believed to result in reduced damage to hair.

Abstract: In a method of forming a container from a thermoplastic material, a thermoplastic preform may be introduced into a blow cavity at a temperature greater than or equal to a glass transition temperature of a thermoplastic material and less than a melting temperature of the thermoplastic material. A fluid pressure may be introduced into a preform that may expand the preform radially outwardly to form a semi-finished container. An external surface of the semi-finished container may be engaged with a wall of the blow cavity. The wall of the blow cavity may be rapidly heated. Heat may be transferred to the external surface of the semi-finished container. A surface finish may be imparted from the wall of the blow cavity onto the external surface of the semi-finished container.
Abstract: A spray-on film forming composition is designed to work with another topical preparation, such as a conventional cosmetic foundation or skincare product. The film forming composition is in direct contact with the cosmetic or skincare product. The spray-on film forming composition may be applied underneath a topical preparation (as a primer), on top of a topical preparation (as a mask), or both, depending on the benefit conferred. The spray-on film forming compositions of the invention are able to improve wearability and removability, increase shine, and deliver active ingredients. They are very clear, flexible and comfortable.
Abstract: High shine single phase color cosmetic compositions that are flexible and resistant to water below a selected temperature, 43° C. for example. The compositions wear well, are smudge and flake resistant, as well as oil resistant, making them very suitable as high shine, long wear cosmetics. Compositions according to the invention comprise specific combinations of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer in a cosmetically acceptable base or delivery vehicle. Compositions according to the invention are hydrophilic and easily removed when scrubbed with water above a certain temperature, but not as easily removed with water below that temperature. The compositions are easy to manufacture, flexible and comfortable, and suitable for use on skin, hair and nails, particularly as eye shadow, eyeliner, lip products, tattoo products and mascara. Compositions may be formulated as liquid eyeliner, liquid eye shadow, mascara, liquid lip products and tattoo products.
Abstract: A sample pump device comprising a flexible pouch, a rigid frame, a mechanical pump, an actuator and a rigid, non-flexible stem attachment. A flexible dip tube is specifically not included. The rigid frame houses the mechanical pump and supports the flexible pouch which contains a flowable product, such as perfume. The stem attachment provides a firm surface against which a user can provide counter pressure, as the mechanical pump is being operated. The sample pump device is adapted to withstand the extreme pressures of binding, bundling and distribution operations associated with printed circulars.

Abstract: The color correction method in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention can comprise the steps of: acquiring an image from a captured image; detecting the face and eyes from the captured image; separating the sclera and pupil of the detected eye(s); correcting the image by comparing the areas of the sclera and pupil extracted by separating the sclera and pupil with the reference values stored in a database; and extracting the skin color of the face from the corrected image.

Abstract: Reduced-ethanol perfume compositions according to the invention comprise specific combinations of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer in an aqueous base or delivery vehicle. The perfume compositions according to the invention are easy to manufacture and provide an aqueous perfume composition that preserves aromatic integrity (intensity, duration and range), even in emulsion form. The most advantageous use of compositions of the invention are as parfums, eau de parfums, eau de toilettes, and colognes. However, the invention may also find use in many types of fragranced products, such as those used on the skin and hair of humans or animals, in cleaning products of all types, in air deodorizers, air fresheners, and more.
Abstract: The invention relates to a hair dye system. The hair dye system includes at least one dye precursor, an oxidizing agent, and a catalyst. The catalyst is a homogeneous catalyst or a heterogeneous catalyst and the dye system has a viscosity of less than about 2,500 mPa-s, when measured at a shear rate of about 25 s?1 and at about 25° C.
