  • Patent number: 5907349
Abstract: A fluorescent printer head capable of being subject to dynamic driving to reduce the number of ICs required. A shield electrode is provided between anode arrays having anode dots arranged in an offset manner and control electrodes are respectively arranged for the anode arrays. The anode arrays are subject to dynamic driving and selected by the control electrodes. Such construction of the fluorescent printer head ensures smooth selection of the anode arrays during the dynamic driving. Also, it eliminates non-uniformity in luminance of the anode dots of the anode arrays and accomplishes downsizing of the printer head and a reduction in manufacturing cost thereof due to a reduction in the number of ICs required.

  • Patent number: 5898276
Abstract: The voltage to be applied to fixed display segments are made to be substantially the same to prevent irregular luminance distribution so as to improve display quality. In consideration of allowable voltage drop occurring attributable to the levels of electric currents which flow in electric lines of fixed display segments, the same voltage is applied to the fixed display segments by determining the resistance values by changing the pattern shapes (the lengths, the widths, the thicknesses and the line) of electric lines of the fixed display segments. If the fixed display segments have the same display area, the widths of the electric lines of the fixed display segments are determined to correspond to the ratios of lengths of electric lines of the fixed display segments in order to cause the fixed display segments to be applied with the same voltage.

  • Patent number: 5874177
Abstract: A strut aligning fixture capable of improving misregistration of struts arranged between two glass plates for a vacuum glass envelope to hold the glass plates spaced from each other at a predetermined interval. An alignment plate is formed of a first alignment plate member of a small thickness and a second alignment plate member of a large thickness by lamination. The first alignment plate member is provided with strut holes, which can be formed with high accuracy because of a reduced thickness of the first alignment plate member. The alignment plate is used as a fixture for arranging the struts in the vacuum glass envelope while minimizing misregistration of the struts.

  • Patent number: 5854650
Abstract: Field-emitted electrons are converged by a structure according to the present invention in which odd order gate lines are connected to a first gate lead electrode, while even order gate lines are connected to a second gate lead electrode. When the first gate lead electrode is selected and operated, the potential of the second gate lead electrode is made to be a low level. Since the odd order gate line is disposed between low level even order gate lines, emitted electrons can be converged. When the second gate lead electrode is selected and operated, a contrary process is performed so that emitted electrons are converged. Each gate line has three dot-like field emission arrays, which correspond to red, green and blue color components, so that color image apparatus is structured.
