  • Patent number: 7366312
Abstract: An artificial stereophonic circuit which includes a monophonic signal input terminal, a signal output terminal of one of an L channel and an R channel which are connected to the signal input terminal, a phase-shifting circuit having an input side connected to the signal input terminal, and a signal output terminal of the other channel of the L channel and the R channel having an output side connected to the phase-shifting circuit. The phase-shifting circuit has an almost equal gain in a full frequency band of an input signal, and a phase shift for a change from 0 to 180 degrees according to an increase in a frequency of the input signal is carried out. The change of the phase can be minimized and a natural stereophonic effect can be realized. Moreover, only one capacitor is enough and only one pin for external attachment is enough for wholly forming an IC.

  • Patent number: 7326638
Abstract: An electronic circuit is formed on a semiconductor substrate and electrode pads are formed, which are formed by disposing electrode terminals of the electronic circuit through interconnections on a surface of the semiconductor substrate. After grinding a back surface of the semiconductor substrate, a first resin layer is formed on the back surface of the semiconductor substrate. Thereafter, a barrier metal layer is formed on the electrode pad by an electroless plating technique, and a solder core is formed thereon. A second resin layer is formed by printing a resin, and after exposing the solder core by grinding the second resin layer, a solder bump is formed thereon. By this method, an extra process such as masking the semiconductor substrate and subsequent removing a mask can be omitted, while forming the barrier metal layer by the electroless plating technique.

  • Patent number: 7195996
Abstract: A manufacturing method for forming a region into which impurity ions are implanted, and an electrode is coupled to the region, in a self-aligned manner. An oxide film is formed on an n-type semiconductor layer composed of a silicon carbide semiconductor, and then the oxide film on regions in which source and drain regions are to be formed is removed by etching. Impurity ions are implanted into an exposed semiconductor layer and heat treatment is performed for activating the implanted impurity ions. A metal film to serve as ohmic electrodes is formed on the entire surface, and then the oxide film is removed by etching to thereby form a source electrode and a drain electrode. Leaving a part of the oxide film on regions on which source and drain electrodes are to be formed can prevent the oxide film from being deformed during the heat treatment for activation.

  • Patent number: 7161085
Abstract: A thin flat twisted-pair gap cable and gap navigator unit reduces the diameter of twisted-pair wire, aligns them side by side, and fuses and fixes them in place with two plies of tape so as to flatten the conventional round twisted-pair cable in order to pass the conventional round twisted-pair cable used for high-speed transmission through a gap in a window sash or the like. Two core wires each consisting of a small-diameter conductor covered with an insulating covering of PE or the like are twisted together evenly to make the twisted-pair wires, with the necessary number of twisted-pair wires aligned side by side. The insides of two plies of plastic tape are coated with a thermoplastic adhesive and the aforementioned cable is inserted into and sandwiched between the two plies of plastic tape and the tape fused together so that the twisted-pair wires aligned side by side come in the middle of the width of the tape to form a flattened gap cable.

  • Patent number: 6967528
Abstract: The present invention is a variable gain amplifier for amplifying a radio frequency signal by using a field effect transistor for signal amplification. The variable gain amplifier includes: an input impedance correcting means for correcting the input impedance when varying the gain at the input side of the field effect transistor for signal amplification; an output impedance correcting means for correcting the output impedance when varying the gain at the output side of the field effect transistor for signal amplification; and an amplifier bypass means for passing the radio frequency input signal to the output side by skipping the field effect transistor for signal amplification when varying the gain. According to the present invention, a variable gain amplifier is favorable in the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) at the input and output end regardless of presence or absence of gain variation, and the gain attenuation amount can be arbitrarily set.

  • Patent number: 6959222
Abstract: An engine for processing functions used in audio algorithms. The engine runs in parallel with a digital signal processor (DSP) in an audio chip to increase performance for that chip. Functions performed by the engine include biquad filtering and inverse discrete cosine transform (IDCT) including pre-multiplication, inverse Fast Fourier transform (IFFT), and post-multiplication, which would otherwise be performed by the DSP. The DSP is therefore free to perform other functions demanded by the chip. Resources in the engine are processed in a pipeline structure and are thus highly utilized. Data are stored in a predefined order to increase efficiency.
