  • Patent number: 5731371
Abstract: The invention provides golf balls formed from the reaction product of compositions comprising an ester grafted hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber such as zinc dimethacrylate grafted hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber elastomer. The compositions may further include polybutadiene rubber. Balls made of these compositions are especially suited for use in restricted land spaces such as driving ranges.

  • Patent number: 5725095
Abstract: A golf bag comprising a top formed in a generally cylindrical configuration with a lower surface and an upper surface. The top is formed with spacers forming openings and with a smaller front opening constituting a generally triangular putter well. The lower surface of the top is formed with at least one downwardly facing recess. A bottom is formed in a generally cylindrical configuration with a lower surface and with a peripheral wall terminating in an upper surface. The upper surface of the bottom is formed with at least one upwardly facing recess in alignment with the downwardly facing recess of the top. The bottom has a rearwardly extending wall adjacent to the lower surface and an aperture therethrough for constituting a handle. An exterior cover has an upper edge coupled over the periphery of the top adjacent to its lower surface and coupled over the periphery of the bottom adjacent to its upper surface.

  • Patent number: 5722908
Abstract: A ball bat comprising a bat frame in a generally cylindrical configuration. The bat has an essentially cylindrical hitting area and a handle area remote from the hitting area and with a tapering transition zone therebetween. The bat frame is fabricated of a composite material of fibers in a matrix binder. A cylindrical recess is formed in the hitting area and has an annular inner face and parallel end faces at the ends of the recess. An annular insert metal with an interior cylindrical surface is in contact with the inner face of the recess and with parallel end faces in contact with the end faces of the recess and a cylindrical exterior surface essentially flush with the portions of the bat frame on opposite sides of the recess.

  • Patent number: 5722543
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for separating a flow of golf balls into a first set of golf balls which meet predetermined specifications and a second set of golf balls which do not meet specifications. The apparatus includes a first elongated cylinder having a central axis positioned at an angle with respect to the horizontal. The elongated cylinder has an open lower end, an open upper end and an interior diameter to allow for the rolling of golf balls of the first set to move therethrough and out of the lower end. A large aperture is formed in an upper surface of the elongated cylinder at a central extent thereof. The interior surface of the elongated cylinder is of an increased diameter between central extent thereof and the upper end thereof. A supplemental small aperture is formed in the upper surface of the elongated cylinder offset from the uppermost extent thereof. The supplemental small aperture is formed at an angle with regard to the axis of the elongated cylinder.
