Abstract: A system for mounting an electronic device includes a socket and a stand, the stand having a ball portion. The socket and the ball portion include first magnetic material to hold the socket and the ball portion together in a position selected by a user, the socket further including a magnetic array, the magnetic array having magnetism to hold an electronic device to the socket. In one alternative, the first magnetic material is separate from the magnetic array.
Abstract: A method for selecting a mode/color on a lighting module, the lighting module having only a single button includes: receiving a first actuation of the single button at the lighting module. The method further includes responsive to the first actuation, turning the device on and displaying a first mode/color. The method further includes detecting that the single button is held down. The method further includes displaying a plurality of modes/colors in a timed sequence, such that each mode/color of the plurality of modes/colors is displayed for a preset period of time. The method further includes detecting that the single button is released. The method further includes displaying a selected mode/color of the plurality of modes/colors that was displayed when the single button was released.
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a carabiner that includes a carabiner body forming an opening having a width, the carabiner body including a gate rest notch, and a gate rest. The carabiner further includes a pivotable gate coupled to the carabiner body at a pivotable point and adapted to contact the gate rest notch when in a closed position. The carabiner body is sized to accommodate an object with an aperture and a thickness, and the width is approximately less than 100% greater than the thickness.
Abstract: A strap system includes a strap, the strap including a plurality of apertures. The strap system further includes a buckle, the buckle located a first end of the strap, the buckle including an aperture and prong, the prong extending beyond the aperture, the prong sized to fit in each of the plurality of apertures. The strap system further includes a sliding holder, the sliding holder located on the strap, such that the sliding holder slides along the strap, the sliding holder including a projection, the projection extending from the sliding holder, the projection sized to fit into each of the plurality of apertures.
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a carabiner that includes a carabiner body including a first side and a second side opposite of the first side, the carabiner body forming an opening on the first side and including a gate base and a gate rest. The carabiner further includes a pivotable gate coupled to the gate base on or near the second side at a pivotable point and adapted to contact the gate rest when in a closed position.
Abstract: An adjustable securement device which retains and secures items of personal property without slippage. The device includes an elastic band, an at least one sliding cinch, and a lanyard attachment mechanism. The elastic band is used to firmly secure and hold the item. The sliding cinch includes a constricting body and a strap-receiving hole. The strap-receiving hole traverses through the constricting body. The elastic band is slidably positioned within the strap-receiving hole to position the body of the elastic band adjacent to itself in order to create two separate loops. The first loop is positioned around the item and constricted tightly by sliding the sliding cinch adjacent to the item, thus securing and holding the item. The second loop is used to attach the lanyard attachment mechanism to the elastic band. The lanyard attachment mechanism is coupled to the elastic band and allows the device to attach to external structures.
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a carabiner that includes a carabiner body forming an opening and comprising a gate base, a gate rest, and a gate rest extension. In embodiments, at least one pivotable gate is coupled to the gate base at a pivotable point and adapted to contact the gate rest when in a closed position. In embodiments, the gate rest extension comprises a gate rest extension axis, and an angle between the gate rest extension and gate when in the closed position is approximately 35-61 degrees.
Abstract: A tensioning device includes a first slot located on a first end of the tensioning device, the first slot being closed on all four sides. The tensioning device further includes a second slot and a third slot, the third slot located on a second end of the tensioning device, the second end opposite the first end, the second slot located between the first and third slot, the second and the third slot being having an open side on one of four sides and closed on three of four sides. The tensioning device further includes a lever arm, the lever arm located on the second end of the tensioning device.
Abstract: A mobile device mounted holder includes a body portion, the body portion including a slot for receiving cards. The mobile device mounted holder further includes an attachment mechanism, integrated with the body portion, for attaching to a mobile device. The mobile device mounted holder further includes a clip end located proximate to the slot, such that the clip end prevents the cards, when located in the slot, from sliding out of the slot and the clip end is attached to a flexible arm such that the clip end has a flexed position and in the flexed position the cards are removable.

Abstract: A lighting module includes a first printed circuit board (PCB) with a push button switch and a charging port, a second PCB with a light emitting diode (LED), a rechargeable battery sandwiched between the PCB's, and ring disposed between the PCB's and surrounding the battery. A device including the lighting module, a body having a cavity with an aperture, and a cap having a protrusion facing the body. The lighting module received in the cavity, with the cap covering the aperture. The protrusion and push button switch are positioned such that when the cap is pushed inward near the protrusion, the protrusion pushes the push button switch and activates the lighting module. The cap further includes a ridge surrounding the protrusion on the outward side, the ridge preventing the protrusion from being pushed into the push button switch, unless the cap is pressed at approximately a location of the protrusion.
Abstract: A stand assembly for holding handheld electronic devices in a multitude of positions or locations having a first section with a curved end magnetically attached to second section having and indented surface. The first section also attaches to a surface, the second section either is contiguous with a portable electronic device, a carrying case, or other item; or has a means to attach to another surface. A high-friction elastomeric material, or similar friction producing material, helps to secure the first and second sections together, or the second section against another flat magnetic surface.
