    Abstract: A make-up cosmetic product, which enhances the appearance of complexion, is evaluated by irradiating lights having a wavelength range of visible light onto a surface on which the make-up cosmetic product is applied, from at least two directions with different incident angles, measuring a plurality of spectra of reflected lights obtained from the irradiated lights, respectively, and comparing the spectrum patterns with each other. This clarifies the optical theory by which the skin looks beautiful and provides a method for evaluating a make-up cosmetic product making the skin look beautiful.

    Abstract: An ultrasonic sealing apparatus is disclosed wherein a pair of sheet-like members a bottom portion of a tubular member is fuse-bonded together by frictional heat generated by ultrasonic vibration. The apparatus includes horn (1) and anvil (2) means interposed with members to be fuse-bonded together. The horn and anvil provide contact surfaces (3) in contact with the members to be fused. Each of the contact surfaces is formed with a plurality of grooves (4) to provide a plurality of protrusions (5). Each of the protrusions has a flat upper surface and slanted side surfaces (6), so that the protrusion has a trapezodial cross-section. The horn means applies ultrasonic vibration to the fuse-bonding surfaces of the members to be fused in a direction oblique or parallel therewith in association with the anvil means.
