  • Patent number: 5917301
Abstract: Methods and systems consistent with the invention generate a motion profile of a motor. A reference acceleration profile, a reference velocity profile, and a reference displacement profile are first defined. Displacement-velocity data defining displacement data with respect to velocity data is then stored in a memory. A plurality of conversion constants which include a maximum velocity ratio K1, a maximum acceleration ratio K2, and a displacement conversion constant K3, are calculated, are then calculated using following equations: ##EQU1## where A.sub.max represents a maximum acceleration value in the reference acceleration profile, V.sub.max represents a maximum velocity value in the reference velocity profile, a.sub.max represents a maximum acceleration value in the generated profile, and V.sub.max represents a maximum velocity data in the profile to be generated. The system then determines a position data of the motor and maps the position data into a reference displacement data.

  • Patent number: 5907900
Abstract: A component mounting device mounts electronic components from several component stages on a printed circuit board. The component mounting device includes a mounting head, a camera unit, and a selection unit. The mounting head, movably installed between the component stage and the printed circuit board, includes a suction element and a position determination chuck. The suction element picks up and thereafter supports the component, and the position determination chuck corrects the position of the supported component. The camera unit, installed within a movement range of the mounting head, receives an image of the component supported by the suction element. The selection unit selects either the position determination chuck or the camera unit to correct the position of the component supported by the suction element.

  • Patent number: 5850683
Abstract: A component mounting apparatus includes an eccentric cam installed to rotate counterclockwise or clockwise with respect to a holder of a mounting head, and a follower connected to a suction bit and contacting a surface of the eccentric cam. Rotating the eccentric cam by a predetermined degree moves the follower which, in turn, moves the suction bit up and down. The shape of the surface of the eccentric cam is designed such that the upward-movement speed of the suction bit is different from the downward-movement speed of the suction bit due to the rotation of the eccentric cam. The shape of the surface of the eccentric cam is such that the suction bit moves slowly downward and then rapidly upward when the eccentric cam rotates in one direction, and moves rapidly downward and then slowly upward when the eccentric cam rotates in the other direction.
