    Abstract: An LED package and method for LED packaging is disclosed. In one embodiment, an LED package includes a carrier substrate having a predefined surface area, an LED device bonded to the carrier substrate, the LED device having a footprint area of at least fifty percent of the predefined surface area of the carrier substrate, and an encapsulant lens having a top surface inclined inwardly at an angle in the range of about 10° to about 140°. In one embodiment, the top surface of the encapsulant lens layer has a concave cone shape. In one embodiment, a wafer level packaging process includes forming an encapsulant lens layer portion having a top surface inclined inwardly at an angle in the range of about 10° to about 140° on each of a plurality of LED devices bonded to a carrier substrate wafer.

The bonding layer forms an ohmic connection between the region containing the circuit element and the LED. In one embodiment, the region containing the circuit element is an ESD protection device, such as a Zener diode.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a controller for a storage apparatus is disclosed having interfaces connectable to a host system, a first storage apparatus and a second storage apparatus. A data in the first storage apparatus and a data in the second storage apparatus are duplicates. A status table stores the operating state regarding the first storage apparatus and the second storage apparatus, wherein the operating state indicates among writing, reading, or standing by. A monitor monitors the interfaces and set up the operating state into the status table. A buffer memory buffers the data for writing in the first storage apparatus and the second storage apparatus. A command response unit receives the data for writing and write-in request from a host system, and directs the writing of the data to the first storage apparatus and the second storage apparatus while making the buffer memory buffer the received data.

    Abstract: A high electron mobility transistor device includes a substrate, a buffer layer on the substrate, a channel layer on the buffer layer, and a contact and barrier layer on the channel layer, the contact and barrier layer being made of indium aluminum nitride with a plurality of indium precipitates exposed on the surface of the contact and barrier layer. The plurality of indium precipitates exposed on the surface of the contact and barrier layer enable metal contacts to be formed directly on the contact and barrier layer with reliable and repeatable electrical performance. The contact and barrier layer may be epitaxially grown in a metal organic chemical vapor deposition process where a ratio of group-V precursors to group-III precursors is low and a flow rate of an indium precursor is greater than a flow rate of an aluminum precursor.
