Abstract: Provided herein is a machine for forming a container from a blank including a tray and a lid. The machine has an upstream end where the blank is loaded and a downstream end where the container is discharged and includes a frame, a pre-forming assembly, and a mandrel assembly. The pre-forming assembly is configured to partially form the lid and the tray by folding each of a plurality of side panels of the blank and further form the tray by partially folding a front panel assembly of the blank, the front panel assembly including a front panel and a roll-over panel. The mandrel assembly is mounted to the frame and configured to engage a bottom panel of the tray to form each of a plurality of corners of the tray and fold the roll-over panel to form a front wall of the container.

Abstract: A container can include a plurality of side panels defining an interior space, and an inner partition member disposed at least partially within the interior space. The inner partition member can be configured to be at least partially conformal with the plurality of side panels in a first position, and to form one or more partitions dividing the interior space in at least a second position. In certain embodiments, only a portion of the inner partition member can be attached to an interior surface of the plurality of side panels such that the inner partition member can be configured to be moved between the first position and at least the second position.

Abstract: A bale of stock packaging material includes a continuous tube of paperboard material, the continuous tube of paperboard material being flattened and folded back and forth on itself into a fan-folded bale. The continuous tube of paperboard can be a single piece of paperboard with two opposed edges that are folded to overlap with each other. The paperboard material can include a corrugated layer. The opposed edges can be adhered together to form a single seam that runs lengthwise along the continuous tube of paperboard. The adhesive can be applied between the two edges which can join to form the single seam.

Abstract: A container includes a plurality of panels foldably connected to one another, wrapping around an interior space configured for containing product. Two of the plurality of panels cooperate to form a top wall of the interior space. A respective end flap is foldably connected to each of the two panels of the top wall. The end flaps cooperate to form a portion of an end wall that forms a lateral bound of the interior space. Each end flap is connected to its respective panel of the top wall with a line of weakness configured to be broken to allow conversion of the top wall wherein the two panels of the top wall are opened for access to the interior space.

Abstract: A method includes separating a portion of a flattened tube of stock packing material to a custom length to form a pouch pre-form and closing a first end of the pouch pre-form leaving a second end of the pouch pre-form open. The method can include placing product into the pouch pre-form and closing the one open end of the pouch pre-form to form a closed pouch containing the product.

Abstract: A container includes a polygonal section comprising lateral walls surrounding an interior space. An upper wall forms a top bound on the interior space. A lower wall forms a bottom bound on the interior space. An alignment tab straddles a respective one of the upper fold lines. The alignment tab also has an intermediate fold line between the first and second ends of the alignment tab that is closer to the first end than to the second end, such that the alignment tab projects upward from the upper wall and separates two vertical, inward facing alignment edges at an upper end of the adjacent one of the lateral walls.
