Abstract: A machine for forming a container from a blank of sheet material is provided. The blank includes a reinforcing panel assembly for forming a reinforcing corner assembly. The machine includes a hopper station for storing the blank in a substantially flat configuration and a forming station for forming the blank into the container. The forming station includes an initial forming station that rotates a first portion of the reinforcing panel assembly with respect to a second portion of the reinforcing panel assembly, and a secondary forming station having male and female forming members with shapes corresponding to an interior shape and an exterior shape of the reinforcing corner assembly, respectively. The male and the female forming members are configured to form the reinforcing corner assembly by compressing together the first and second portions of the reinforcing panel assembly.

Abstract: A blank for constructing a container includes a front panel, a bottom panel foldably connected to the front panel along a lower front horizontal fold line, and a side panel having a front portion and a rear portion. The side panel is foldably connected to at least one of the bottom panel or the front panel. The blank includes a top panel that is foldably connected to the side panel, and a rear panel foldably connected to the rear portion of the side panel along a rear vertical fold line. The front and rear portions of the side panel are separable from one another along a separation line such that the rear portion of the side panel and the rear panel are configured and adapted for removal.

Abstract: Aspects of the invention are directed toward a carrier (90) for containing a product. The carrier comprises first, second and third connected side panels (16a/16b, 116a/116b, 216a/216b, 316a/316b; 14, 114, 214, 314; 12, 112, 212, 312) which define a three-sided tubular structure having a triangular cross-section. The carrier has a substantially triangular-shaped, crash-bottom-style, bottom wall. Parts (24b/26b, 20b/32, 22b; 124b/126b, 120b/132, 122b; 224b/226b, 220b/232, 222b; 324b/326b, 320b/332, 322b) of the bottom wall are coupled to the first, second and third side panels. The carrier has a mechanical interlocking feature (T1, T2, S1, S2); and a multi-part mechanical locking mechanism. Abstract: A container formed from at least one blank of sheet material includes a tray, a cover configured to close the tray, and a locking device. The tray includes a tray front panel. The cover includes a cover front panel that extends downwardly from a front edge of a cover top panel. The cover front panel is configured to be positioned in an at-least partially overlapping arrangement with the tray front panel when the cover is closed. The locking device includes a locking tab hingedly attached to the cover top panel and struck in part from the cover top panel and in part from the cover front panel. The locking device also includes a locking recess struck from an upper edge of the tray front panel. The locking device is configured such that the locking tab can be pressed down into the locking recess to selectively secure the cover to the tray in a closed and locked configuration.
