The operations include receiving category specifications and access category definitions for access categories. The access category definitions include relationship criteria for the access categories. The operations include identifying a relationship between a second user and a first user, comparing an identified relationship with the relationship criteria, and determining which of the access categories the second user is included based on the comparison.

Abstract: Techniques for creating a user network based on user interest in a product are described. For example, a first search query is received from a first client device. The first client device is associated with a first user. A second search query is received from a second client device. The second client device is associated with a second user. The first search query is matched to a product. The second search query is matched to the product. A user network corresponding to the product is created. The first user is added to the user network based on the matching of the first search query to the product. The second user is added to the user network based on the matching of the second search query to the product.

Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for generating and providing recommendations of products are provided. For example, content is extracted from a message sent to a user. The content is evaluated to identify a product identifier corresponding to a product title of a product. If the product identifier is a truncated version of the product title, then a database of product titles and frequencies of occurrence of the product titles is used to complete the product title. A model is used to infer a product category for the product title. Matching scores are assigned to products within a product category based upon weighted attributes. A recommendation is provided to the user for a product having a matching score greater than a matching threshold.

Abstract: Under an embodiment of the invention, a computer system includes a user interface (UI) for virtual tours of modeled real estate. The UI includes three ways to navigate the modeled real estate. The first navigation element is a 3D UI element that provides a 3D view of the property and enables the user to freely navigate in the XY plane of the virtual model. The second navigation element is a 2D map of the real property overlaid on a portion of the 3D UI element. The 2D map overlay enables navigation in the XY plane of the virtual model. The third navigation element is a 1D text element of the real property overlaid on a portion of the 3D UI element. The 1D text overlay enables navigation along the Z axis or the XY plane of the virtual model.

Abstract: Described is a system and method for monitoring the expiration date of items and determining if an item previously picked by a user will expire before the next anticipated arrival date of the user at a materials handling facility. If the previously picked item will expire before the next anticipated arrival date of the user, the user may receive a recommendation to pick a replacement item so they do not have to return to the materials handling facility early to replace the expired item.

Abstract: An online concierge system generates an item graph connecting item nodes with attribute nodes of the items. When the online concierge system receives a search query to identify one or more items from a customer, the online concierge system parses the search query into combinations of terms and identifies item nodes and attribute nodes related to the search query. The online concierge system may determine that no item nodes meet presentation criteria. The online concierge system may determine that a reformulated search query has a higher conversion probability than the search query received from the customer. The online concierge system reformulates the search query. The online concierge system selects item nodes as search results. The online concierge system transmits the search results to the customer.

Abstract: A buy-online pickup-in-store (BOPIS) order at risk of abandonment is saved by converting the order to same-day delivery. A risk deadline is established using a combination of cognitive prediction, a customer-specific time frame, order constraints, and real-time data. The cognitive prediction uses a customer profile having historical data pertaining to previous BOPIS orders from this customer. If the product is not picked up by the risk deadline, a check is made to see if same-day delivery is feasible. If so, a notification is transmitted to the customer with proposed delivery details. The notification can be sent at an optimal time based on previous notifications sent to the customer and time constraints related to the order, and using an optimal communication channel based on previous engagement rates with the customer over different communication channels. Once confirmation is received from the customer, the product is shipped, saving the sale.

Abstract: Techniques are described for applying virtual makeup products. Virtual makeup products, in this context, may include a visual effect and a configuration for the effect, and the visual effect includes one or more layered visual filters. In an example, a system may acquire a base image of a face, acquire a defined region of the face over which to apply a selected virtual makeup product, and generate a makeup image including one or more layered and masked filters based on the selected virtual makeup product and the defined region of the face. After generating the makeup image, a composite image including the makeup image overlaid on the base image can be displayed to simulate the application of a real-world makeup product.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for streamlining interactions between a customer and a customer service representative of a company. An interaction is commenced between the customer and the customer service representative during which historical data is accessed related to the customer stored in a company controlled computer system responsive to the interaction. The historical data preferably relates to at least one product or service provided by the company to the customer. At least a part of the historical information is displayed to the customer service representative. On the display, a first tab is generated related to the historical data as is a second tab relating to a quote for a new product or service for offering to the customer. The customer service representative is thereafter enabled to switch between displaying the historical data and the quote by selecting the first or second tab, respectively, without having to save the quote.

An automated product offering system determines in real-time or near real-time the availability of products to be offered to the consumer and adjusts the display on the kiosk GUI to guide the user to select products that are currently available. The product availability may be specific to a location and a retailer hosting the consumer kiosk application. The kiosk GUI display is adjusted in accordance with product advertising and promotional campaigns to guide the user to generate orders for products that offer the best value to the consumer while helping retailers and kiosk operators succeed with advertising campaigns.

Abstract: Systems and methods for ordering a replacement component or repair service are disclosed. According to some aspects, condition data indicating a condition of a consumable component may be generated by sensor and transmitted to an order assistance system. The order assistance system may determine whether the consumable component requires at least one of replacement or repair by comparing the condition data with one or more maintenance parameters. Additionally, in response to a determination that the consumable component requires at least one of replacement or repair, the order assistance system may recommend at least one of a replacement component or a repair service in accordance with one or more order parameters pre-selected by a user. In some aspects, an insurance policy associated with the consumable component may be adjusted based on the successful repair or replacement of the consumable component.
