Abstract: At an artificial intelligence system, gifting-related ranking information pertaining to a plurality of items is obtained. Using the ranking information and respective feature sets corresponding to the items, a machine learning model is trained to generate respective gift-suitability scores corresponding to individual items. Based on a gift-suitability score generated by a trained version of the model, a gift-giving recommendation is generated indicating a particular item as a candidate gift. An explanation for the recommendation, expressed in natural language, is provided with the recommendation.

The device processes the third-party boycott data and the customer preference data, with a machine learning model, to identify a boycott of the merchant that is predicted to be of interest to the customer. The device provides, to a user device of the customer, information identifying the boycott of the merchant and information that solicits the customer to indicate whether the customer desires to join the boycott, and receives, from the user device, information indicating that the customer desires to join the boycott. The device causes a transaction account associated with the customer to be restricted from a transaction with the merchant when the information indicates that the customer desires to join the boycott.

Abstract: A system for image recognition product ordering includes a communications link that receives a digital image of a printed advertisement of one or more products. An image recognition engine identifies one or more products depicted in the captured image and compares the identified products with depictions of products stored on a storage device. An order initiation unit correlates the one or more identified products with offers for sale of those products and initiates an order of the product. In alternative embodiments, a user of the system is presented with one or more offers for selections, if further embodiments the offer is a subscription-based order for recurring delivery of a product. A corresponding method is also disclosed.

In an embodiment, a system in accordance with the present disclosure may acquire a base image of a face, acquire a defined region of the face over which to apply a selected virtual makeup product, and generate a makeup image including one or more layered and masked filters based on the selected virtual makeup product and the defined region of the face. After generating the makeup image, a composite image including the makeup image overlaid on the base image can be displayed so as to simulate the application of a real-world makeup product.
