Abstract: A system and method for allowing seamless integration of an omni-channel communication platform into third-party ad campaigns. An omni-channel communication platform comprises an interaction control system, an interaction routing system, and a media translation system. Users perform function calls via an application programming interface (API) to a URL generator in order to receive a custom redirect URL that may be hosted on a user's advertisement. The redirect URL intercepts customer interactions with that advertisement and allows the customer and user to communication over the customer's and user's preferred method, converting the user's communication technology to the customer's communication technology and vice-versa. Furthermore, the user may request a generated user-interface graphic that is associated with the redirect URL via the same or a different function call.
Abstract: A network device (e.g., a user's mobile phone) may be used to make a telephone call to a landline telephone associated with a client device (e.g., a business's device). If the telephone call is terminated, either the network device or the client device may generate a text message to the other and establish a communication session. The client device may present a variety of options to the network device of service requests that may be completed by text message. The network device may transmit the service request and the service request may be fulfilled by the client.
Abstract: A first email message is received. The first email message has a first recipient email address and a first payload. The first recipient email address has a first username portion and a first domain name portion. If a user account is associated with the first username portion, then the first payload is transmitted to an email address associated with that user account. Otherwise, the first payload is transmitted, via a fax transmission method, to a first destination specified by a first destination identifier based on the first username portion of the first recipient email address.

Abstract: Improved methods for retrieval of content from CDNs is provided that includes a rendezvous controller that receives information of an identification of content being requested and an estimated location of a content requesting device. Based on this information, the rendezvous system identifies a server within a CDN from which the requested content may be retrieved. The selected server may be based on a repeatable hash function such that the likelihood that the content being requested is cached at the selected server. Steering requests to a server of the CDN which may have the content cached may reduce the number of servers within the CDN with the same cached content, particularly for the highest requested content. The rendezvous system may then return a corresponding domain name associated with the selected server and that can be subsequently submitted to a DNS for resolution to the IP address of the identified server.
Abstract: A distributed system that implements an online exchange may comprise a plurality of server nodes, each of which being configured to receive exchange transaction proposals from customers of the online exchange over a computer network and each being configured to store a copy of a blockchain distributed ledger of completed exchange transactions. A consensus engine may be coupled, over the computer network, to the plurality of server nodes and may receive a plurality of exchange transaction proposals from the plurality of server nodes. The consensus engine may be being further configured to achieve consensus on the plurality of exchange transaction proposals and to generate, in response, an ordering of agreed-upon exchange transaction proposals that includes the plurality of exchange transaction proposals on which consensus has been reached.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for using a message broker that implements a publish-subscribe messaging protocol to exchange messages between a remote server and a bridge computing device of a local network of interconnected devices are disclosed. In one example, a bridge computing devices transmits to a remote server, a provisioning request in response to achieving a power-on state. The server generates and transmits, to the bridge computing device, a provisioning response that includes information indicating a channel to which the remote server will publish messages and a channel to which the bridge computing device should publish messages. The bridge computing device subscribes to the channel the server will publish to, and the server subscribes to the channel the bridge computing device will publish to. Third-party computing devices may also subscribe and publish to the channels in order to receive and provide messages to the bridge computing device.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for managing and replaying persistent draft messages for entity data. One example method includes receiving a request from a client to read entity data in a draft of an entity. Previously-generated messages for the draft of the entity are retrieved and regenerated. A request to change a field of the entity is received and a set of previously-generated messages that correspond to the field is identified. Each message in the set of previously-generated messages is marked as invalid to prevent subsequent regeneration of messages in the set of messages. Each message in the previously-generated messages that is not marked as invalid is stored as a persistent draft message for the draft of the entity.

Abstract: Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is a widely used method of distinguishing authorized email from unauthorized email. SPF policies are published into a domain's DNS and then looked up and evaluated by mail receivers. Due to the complexity and limitations of the SPF specification, implementation mistakes and risks are widespread. This problem is compounded by the common practice of nesting SPF policies which introduces hidden risks, particularly exceeding DNS lookup limits. Embodiments of the present disclosure enable new SPF techniques such as selectively inactivating parts of a policy by introducing a virtual-all term, designed to secure against the third-party term inclusions in the policy. When the primary policy is online, the virtual-all term may serve as a terminate policy evaluation much like a traditional “all” term. If the primary policy is offline, a “fail open” may be produced, allowing policy evaluation to proceed into previously inactivated segment of the policy.
Abstract: A system and method for efficiently transmitting signals from a sensing device to a remote device are disclosed. The sensing device includes at least one sensor for sensing information. The sensed information could be associated with heart activity. The sensing device smooths the sensed signal and then calculates the difference between the smoothed sensed signal and a locally stored baseline signal to determine a differential signal, which can be transmitted as a smaller packet of data than the full sensed signal. The remote device receives information associated with the differential signal and uses a local copy of the baseline signal to reconstruct the original smoothed sensed signal.
