Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing an advertisement in a sidebar, and/or in a slidesheet associated with an application module displayed in the sidebar. The advertisement is targeted to the sidebar user based upon user specific information maintained by a content provider. The user specific information can comprise, sidebar application information, user preference information, shared user information and other information associated with the user that can be used to select an advertisement targeted to the user. An advertisement displayed in a slidesheet can be selected based upon user information and/or the functionality provided by the application module associated with the slidesheet.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to performing data science operations. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a data science system that improves data science operations as well as enhances a user's experience in performing data science operations. For example, the data science system provides an improved framework that enables a data source to be paired with one or more algorithms to create a data science operation. In many instances, the data science operation outputs visual results, such as charts and graphs, that are easy for the user to understand. Further, using the framework, the data science system provides tools that enable the user to further customize data science operations.

The BMS includes a dashboard layout generator configured to identify each timeseries associated with the data point and to generate a framework-agnostic dashboard layout description capable of being rendered by multiple different rendering frameworks to visualize each of the identified timeseries.

Further, the application interface module may detect and respond to various gestures, by which the user may move among workspaces and interact with menus and other information that are presented in those workspaces.
