  • Patent number: 5340229
Abstract: A multi-hole punch and ruler combination which is especially adapted for storage in and use with a multi-ring binder. The ruler provides a receptacle for receiving the punched out paper chips, as well as a plurality of retention tabs and support tabs for securing the punch in the receptacle in a press fit engagement which may be readily released by the user when desired. The punch comprises relatively low profile upper and lower portions, the lower portion having a defined paper receiving area with front and side edge borders for accurately aligning the edge of the paper relative to the punch members. The lower portion also provides a plurality of cantilevered fingers for receiving the paper edge adjacent the punch holes through which punch members on the upper portion of the punch can protrude and cut or punch holes in the paper sheets received by the punch of the invention. These fingers hold the edge of the paper sheet to separate the sheet from the punch members after the sheet has been punched.

  • Patent number: 5340064
Abstract: A bracket for supporting a hand shower adjacent a wall has a base part adapted to be fixed to the wall, formed with a throughgoing passage extending along a horizontal axis generally parallel to the wall, and having axially oppositely directed sides. A holder part pivotal on the base part about the axis on one of the axial sides of the base part is formed on the axis with an upwardly open seat adapted to receive the hand shower. A bolt extending axially through the passage has to the other axial side of the base part a threaded end and to the one axial side of the base part a radially projecting flange bearing axially toward the base part on the holder part. Interengaging formations on the bolt and base part rotationally fix the bolt in the base part while permitting it to move axially therein. A nut threaded on the threaded end of the bolt and bears axially on the other axial side of the base part.

  • Patent number: 5337642
Abstract: The invention concerns a punch block support arm adaptable to a perforating device as well as a process for mounting punches on such a block. According to the invention, the block comprises a narrow slot (12, 20, 23) across the whole block thickness, and extending on the whole length of the punch array. The slot extends, at each of its ends (23), perpendicular to the alignment axis (26) of the punches (20, 22), in order to define a longitudinal bar (14) and two transversal bars (15, 16), the slot being located so that the distortion of the longitudinal bar brings relatively closer the portions of transversal bars so as to immobilize the punches.

  • Patent number: 5337954
Abstract: A bracket (10) is utilized to mount a mailbox (11) to a wide variety of stanchion configurations (39, 41, 42). The bracket (10) includes opposed side walls (18), opposed end walls (20) and a bottom surface which includes rib members (25). Spaced flanges (35) depend from the bottom of the rib members (25) and have aligned bores (37) therein permitting the bracket (10) to be mounted to a stanchion (42) of one configuration. Apertures (38) in the flanges (35) permit the bracket (10) to be mounted to stanchions (39, 41) of other configurations. Lug members (22) on the side walls (18) are received in apertures (55) in flanges (48) depending from the bottom wall (47) of the mailbox (11) to attach the mailbox (11) to the bracket (10). Holes (56) formed in the flanges (48) and holes (57) formed in additional flanges (52) depending from the bottom wall (47) of the mailbox (11) allow the mailbox (11) to be directly affixed to various stanchion configurations.

  • Patent number: 5317944
Abstract: An adjustable protecting guard apparatus for a table saw having a guard positionable over the saw blade. The adjustable protection guard apparatus has a telescoping arm extending from one end of the saw table which supports a guard superstructure. A hinged connection on an edge of the guard superstructure permits the guard superstructure and the attached guard to pivot up and away from the saw blade. A control module simultaneously deactivates the motor rotating the saw blade with the pivoting of the guard superstructure. The control module has a multi-position key switch having a by-pass position permitting pivoting of the guard without de-energizing the motor. This permits difficult cuts to be made which would not be feasible with the guard in place. An anti-kickback pawl is also provided within the guard and prevents the saw from rejecting a workpiece in a direction opposite to its feed direction.

  • Patent number: 5303687
Abstract: A blade mount for an I.D. saw blade has an elongated female tensioning ring which has a male pilot lip which fits into a recess in a radial flange of the wheelhead. The male pilot lip and a narrowed annular flexure in the flange of the wheelhead compensate automatically for deflections in the blade mount caused by the tensioned saw blade so as to eliminate saw blade flutter during operation. The female tensioning ring is sized to have a width at least twice the radial thickness thereof so as to resist turning inside out under the tensioning force imposed upon the saw blade.
