  • Patent number: 11388291
Abstract: In one example, a recorded voicemail is first converted from speech to text, and a proposed action to be performed by the user is extracted from the voice message. For example, in the voicemail “this is John, call me at 650.987.0987 at 9 am tomorrow,” the action is to call John. At least one action parameter for undertaking the action is determined. For example, the action parameters may include the 650.987.0987 telephone number and the 9 am time the following morning. The at least one action parameter may be extracted from the voicemail message or it may be determined by other means, e.g., from a user's contact book. Finally, the user is presented with a prompt to facilitate undertaking the action using the at least one the parameter. For example, the user may be given the option to set a reminder to call John the following morning at 9 am.

  • Patent number: 11381931
Abstract: Aspects discussed herein relate to providing alerts to a community of devices located in or near a geographic are such as a building or property. The alerts override any alert-inhibiting state of the mobile device to deliver audio, visual, and/or haptic alerts in emergency situations. The communication and emergency alert system may be used to communicate with many different communities of people. Moreover, certain individuals may be members of more than one community at the same time, and the communities themselves may change over time based both on the user's preferences and on their physical locations. Multiple different alerts can be sent to different mobile devices for a single event. The alerts can be customized to particular mobile devices depending on the community to which the mobile device belongs for the event.

  • Patent number: 11382019
Abstract: A session management method by a terminal in which a network initiates a session deactivation procedure to deactivate one or more sessions of a terminal. After the terminal in an inactive mode establishes an RRC connection to a new second base station, the second base station indicates, through RRC connection reconfiguration, the terminal to delete related information of the to-be-deactivated session, or the second base station uses an RRC connection resume response message to carry an identifier of the one or more to-be-deactivated sessions, and the terminal deletes session-related information corresponding to the identifier of the one or more to-be-deactivated sessions. In this way, the terminal is enabled to process the related information of the to-be-deactivated session in a timely manner.
