Abstract: A watchband which is insulative against static electricity and which is characterized by having a relatively wide band upon which a wrist watch may be supported by a strap much narrower than the band and having wrist watch pin-retaining loops projecting through the band, the entire item being constructed of the material currently merchandised under the trademark VELCRO.

Abstract: A pair of rectangular metal side cases are attachable to opposite sides of the rear fork of a motor cycle and have side opening doors. A top case is attached to the frame of the cycle in bridging relation across the tops of the side cases and has a top opening lockable lid. A pair of smaller cases with front opening doors are arranged along the sides of the top case and in flash relation with the outer sides of the side cases. A pair of hydraulic jacks are mounted vertically on the front walls of the side cases, and an hydraulic pump is attached to the inner side of one of the side cases and connected to actuate the jacks. An electrical control panel mounted inside the front wall of one side case has connections adapted to be connected to the battery of the cycle and to the motor of the pump and to emergency signals and communication equipment on the cycle and the cases with control switches external to the case. Three metal panels form walls that are common to two or more of the cases.

Abstract: A flexible panel member is provided including upright horizontally spaced apart and elongated sides interconnected along their lower marginal edge portions by a bottom extending between and anchored relative to the side lower marginal edge portions. An upstanding end wall extends and is secured between at least the lower portions of the sides at one pair of corresponding ends thereof and the upper marginal edge portions of the sides include stiffening members extending therealong from at least areas thereof spaced centrally intermediate the opposite ends of the sides toward the aforementioned first pair of ends thereof. The second pair of corresponding ends of the sides are at least substantially free of connections extending therebetween above the bottom and the portions of the stiffening members supported from the longitudinal central areas of the upper marginal edges of the sides include structure defining elongated horizontal hand grips extending longitudinally of the sides.

Abstract: The device is provided in a two-wheeled vehicle comprising a tubular steering head, a tubular fork shaft rotatably mounted in said tubular steering head and having a shell aperture, two fork blades, upper and lower fork bridges firmly connecting said fork blades to said fork shaft, and a steering lock having a bolt and operable to move said bolt into said tubular fork shaft through said shell opening to said locking position, and out of said tubular fork shaft. A rod is longitudinally slidably mounted in said tubular fork shaft and has a lower end portion which is enlarged in width and extends under said bolt when the latter is in said locking position. A hook is secured to said lock and movable therewith between a lower position, in which said hook cooperates with said upper fork bridge to form a closed latch therewith, and an upper position, in which said hook is spaced above said upper fork bridge.

Abstract: An ice chest included in a container which is suitable for mounting upon a rear rack or carrier on a motorcycle. The container includes a second, separate compartment for containing dry goods which is positioned adjacent the ice compartment for maintaining such goods in a cooled condition. The ice compartment houses a removable tray which supports beverage containers adapted to be kept cold within the chest. The ice compartment and dry compartment include separate covers and locking or closure means. A fresh water compartment is also provided within the ice compartment and has an externally accessible faucet extending through the side wall of the chest. Drainage for the water resulting from melting ice is also provided for, and the rear of the chest has a padded back rest mounted thereon for the rider of the motorcycle.

Abstract: A backpack and frame apparatus comprising a pair of tubular side bars and lateral cross members for supporting the backpack and upper terminus of the shoulder harness. A supporting belt adapted to be coupled about the user's waist and hips includes downwardly projecting panels disposed on diametrically opposed sides of the belt and adapted to lie substantially below the waist of the user. A supporting frame is coupled to the lower extensions of the belt and extends about the rear of the user, the support frame being reciprocally coupled to a pack frame cross member to provide independent movement between the pack frame and the support frame.

Abstract: A small personal size carrier is provided for containing and insulating elongated beverage containers against ambient heat transfer relative thereto. The carrier comprises loosely telescopingly related inner and outer cylindrical shells defining an annular space between the opposing outer and inner surfaces thereof and the shells have radially registered substantially rectangular openings formed through corresponding wall portions thereof intermediate the opposite ends of the shells and with the openings oriented longitudinally of the shells. One of the shells includes generally radially projecting integral flanges extending about the corresponding opening and at least substantially bridging the radial spacing between the aforementioned wall portions.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for storing and carrying cable, more particularly, insulated electrical cable having male and female terminals, so that a desired length is readily accessible for unwinding or rewinding at either end without disturbing the other end. The present invention comprises a rectangular frame, having three parallel, colinear bars rigidly held in symmetrical, spaced-apart relation by a pair of symmetrically-spaced transversely disposed rungs. The combination may also include a carrying handle and attachment for self-standing. The cable is secured to the middle portion of the central bar, and is wrapped from opposite ends about the upper and lower sections of the rungs, respectively, so that each of the ends is accessible for unwinding to a desired length.

Abstract: A hand gun case for storage of a pistol comprising a main body having an opening formed at the upper portion thereof to form a pocket or enclosure to receive and house the pistol and a closure flap movable between an open and closed position extending outwardly from the main body adjacent the opening to enclose the pistol within the hand gun case when in the closed position in combination with a first closure element including a first and second member formed on the main body and closure flap respectively and a second closure element formed on the main body to selectively secure the closure flap in the closed position.

Abstract: Bag apparatus which is convertible from a shoulder carried bag to a carriage or stroller mounted bag and vice-versa including a bag member and a pair of elongate, flexible straps each being affixed at one end portion to a respective side wall portion of the bag. First fastening means are provided on the free end portion of the straps for releasably fastening the free end portions together for shoulder carrying and second means are provided on the straps proximate to the affixed ends thereof for releasably forming a length of each strap into a closed loop section for carriage mounting whereupon the free end portion of the straps are releasably affixed to their respective bag side wall portions by said first fastening means.

Abstract: A sling device for a rifle or the like comprising first and second elongated flexible straps each having first and second ends. The first ends of the flexible straps are adjustably secured together by means of adjustment hooks. The other end of the second strap has a D-ring mounted thereon which is slidably mounted on the first strap. The second end of the first strap has a post screw extending through a U-shaped portion of the first strap. A snap lock strap is secured to the post screw and has a snap lock mounted thereon which may be detachably secured to the second end of the second strap to maintain the second strap in position relative to the first strap. With the snap lock fastened, the sling may be used in conventional fashion or may be used by separating the straps to permit the rifle to be slung diagonally across the chest of the hunter.

Abstract: A collapsible awning for use with a back pack is disclosed which comprises a frame having opposite side rod members detachably secured to a back pack frame by clamps and a front member detachably secured to the side members and extending therebetween. The clamps are pivotally mounted to the pack frame and detachably secure the awning frame to the back pack frame such that the awning frame is securely maintained in a generally horizontal position above the head of the back pack wearer. The pivotal mounting the clamp allows the awning to be pivoted upward to aid in initially putting on the back pack. Magnetic catches hold the clamps from random pivotal motion when the awning is not being used. An elastic shock absorbing member extends from the side frame member to the back pack frame to aid the clamps in maintaining the position of the awning frame during use in windy weather.

Abstract: A convertible purse having three major components which may be separately and selectively utilized and independently or collectively carried by the user. The convertible purse may take the form of a large tote bag which may be carried by means of a shoulder strap or by means of crossed straps as a knapsack; a handbag which is carried within a major compartment of the purse and which may be separated therefrom to independently serve as a handbag, the handbag having means thereon for carrying cosmetic pouches and storing the same in the major compartment of the purse; and a clutch purse carryable by the handbag and also receivable within the major compartment of the purse. Each of the major components, the purse, the handbag and the clutch purse, is provided with pockets and compartments for individually and selectively receiving items to be carried therein whereby the overall convertible purse is capable of receiving and carrying a large number of items normally used in traveling or the like.

Abstract: A clip adapted for attaching a box of shotgun shells of any standard gauge or bore to a shooters belt or clothes in a readily accessible position. The clip comprises side by side inner and outer planar portions joined together along one common end and adapted to receive the front wall of a standard shotgun shell box therebetween, with a ledge portion at the end of the outer portion opposite its joined end engaging the bottom surface of the box. A hook portion projects from the outer portion of the clip and is adapted to hang the clip from the belt or clothes of a shooter.

Abstract: A carrier assembly or rack for use on a three-wheel motorcycle, particularly on a three-wheel, all-terrain vehicle.The carrier includes a pair of leg members having one end attached to the foot rests and the other end attached to a generally U-shaped article support section with a pair of spaced side members having support means extending between them. A brace means is attached to the upper part of the motorcycle frame and also to one or more points of the article support means.
