    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system for femtosecond ophthalmic surgery in which a measuring device and a camera generate data that is processed and used to create an enhanced pictorial representation based on the actual positions of the suction ring and the eye. The pictorial representation may include a graphic relating to ophthalmic surgery, such as for a flap or an incision. The disclosure further provides a method for docking a suction ring in femtosecond laser ophthalmic surgery, which includes observing and generating data relating to the position of the suction ring, generating data relating to a pictorial representation of the suction ring and the eye, processing the data relating to the observed position and the pictorial representation to generate an enhanced pictorial representation, and presenting it during surgery. The pictorial representation may include a graphic relating to ophthalmic surgery, such as for a flap or an incision.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to neuromuscular stimulation and sensing cuffs. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff has at least two fingers and a plurality of electrodes disposed on each finger. More generally, the neuromuscular stimulation cuff includes an outer, reusable component and an inner, disposable component. One or more electrodes are housed within the reusable component. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff may be produced by providing an insulating substrate layer, forming a conductive circuit on the substrate layer to form a conductive circuit layer, adhering a cover layer onto the conductive circuit layer to form a flexible circuit, and cutting at least one flexible finger from the flexible circuit. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff employs a flexible multi-electrode design which allows for reanimation of complex muscle movements in a patient, including individual finger movement.

The method includes determining, based on deviations of the further values from the normal values, individual scores for the medical parameters. The method includes calculating, based on the individual scores, a general score. The method includes determining, based on the general score, the health status of the patient.

    Abstract: A method for treating autism. Light energy is applied externally to a patient's scalp on the skull near the frontal lobes. Optionally the light is also applied to the temporal lobes and the base of the brain. The treatment can be enhanced by activating the cranial nerves while the light is applied. In a preferred embodiment the applied light is in the red range and more preferably about of 635 nm±10 nm. In a preferred embodiment, the applied light energy is applied with a pulse frequency or frequencies of 8 Hz, 53 Hz, 73 Hz and 101 Hz. The light can be emitted from the same light emitter or from multiple emitters. Preferably the light is laser light and is emitted as a line from a hand-held laser device, and the line is waved manually across a person's skull in the desired area in a continuous, sweeping manner.
