  • Patent number: 10104565
Abstract: Channel state information (CSI) feedback in long term evolution (LTE) and LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) networks including unlicensed spectrum is disclosed in which a base station obtains clear channel assessment (CCA) result information from neighboring base stations, either directly or by determining such results from measurement or reports from user equipment (UE) served by the base station. The base station may then generate control signaling based on the CCA result information for transmission to the one or more UEs served by the base station.

  • Patent number: 10097286
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method, performed in a multi-antenna radio access node comprising four logical antenna ports mapped to corresponding physical antennas, of transmitting data using three physical antennas. The method comprises determining (S51) loss of data transmission from one physical antenna of the four physical antennas. A required multi-antenna transmission scheme is determined (S52). An antenna mapping matrix prestored in the radio access node is selected (S53), the selected antenna mapping matrix adapted to the required multi-antenna transmission scheme. Data on the four logical antenna ports are re-mapped (S54) to the remaining three physical antennas by using the selected antenna mapping matrix, whereupon the data is transmitted (S55) from the remaining three physical antennas.

  • Patent number: 9980249
Abstract: A method that allocates uplink shared channel resources includes acquiring the volume of data-to-be-transmitted and an uplink channel quality indication. The method further includes, based on the volume of data-to-be-transmitted acquired, determining a set of resource profiles of the uplink channel quality indication and a resource number. The method further includes judging whether or not the uplink channel quality indication comprised within the set of resource profiles is identical to the uplink channel quality indication acquired. If they are identical, using a corresponding set of resource profiles as a final resource profile; and if they are different, combining an uplink transmission power with the corresponding set of resource profile to determine the final resource profile. Under the premise of ensuring QoS, the method allows for minimization of transmission power of each terminal, thus reducing inter-system interference, allowing system performance to be further improved.

  • Patent number: 9955464
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and device for R-PDCCH transmission in the scenario of carrier aggregation. By way of applying the technical solution of the embodiments of the present invention, multi-carrier aggregation transmission is supported between the relay node and the base station. Abstract: A multi-standard indoor mobile radio access network having a centralized device is provided. In one embodiment of the present invention, a centralized device is configured to transmit a wake-up signal to a wireless device once the wireless device has entered a service area, wherein the wake-up signal triggers the downloading and/or opening of an application on the wireless device configured to determine whether a 911 call has been made. If a 911 call has been made, the application transmits a notification signal to the centralized device. In response thereto, the centralized device transmit location information of the wireless device to an emergency responder. The centralized device also transmits a “ping” to the wireless device during predetermined periods of time in order to keep the application open and/or installed on the wireless device.

Abstract: A network switch includes a buffer to store network packets and packet descriptors (PDs) used to link the packets into queues for output ports. The buffer and PDs are shared among the multiple traffic pools. The switch receives a multicast packet for queues in a given pool. The switch determines if there is unused buffer space available for packets in the given pool based on a pool dynamic threshold, if there is unused buffer space available for packets in each queue based on a queue dynamic threshold for the queue, if there are unused PDs available to the given pool based on a pool dynamic threshold for PDs, and if there are unused PDs available for each queue based on a queue dynamic threshold for PDs for the queue. The network switch admits the packet only into the queues for which all of the determining operations pass.

  • Patent number: 9847937
Abstract: The present disclosure describes techniques for hardware acceleration for routing programs. In some aspects communications between a routing determination program and a packet router are monitored in a router, both the routing determination program and the packet router being part of a software layer of the router. The communications include the routing determination program providing configuration data to the packet router. Based on the monitored communications, a packet processor is changed to reflect the configuration data, the packet processor being part of a hardware layer of the router. The packet processor performs packet routing operations of receiving packets, determining the next routers in the paths to the target destinations of the packets, and sending the packets to the next routers independent of the software layer.

  • Patent number: 9716571
Abstract: In one aspect, the teachings herein provide a method and apparatus for extending certain HARQ feedback procedures introduced in LTE Rel-10, which were defined for CA configurations involving TDD serving cells of the same UL/DL configuration, to the new, more complex CA configurations introduced in Rel-11, which involve the aggregation of interband TDD serving cells with differing UL/DL configurations. Such reuse enables reliant and efficient HARQ feedback signaling in LTE Rel-11, without substantially increasing the specification or implementation complexity of HARQ feedback signaling in LTE Rel-11, despite the decidedly more complex CA configurations introduced in LTE Rel-11.
