  • Patent number: 6755642
Abstract: A safety piezoelectric lighter incorporates with a safety arrangement which includes an ignition cap having a locker cavity. A locking unit includes a locking latch extended from an inner wall of the casing and a locker arm disposed in the locker cavity of the ignition cap. An operation button slidably mounted on the ignition cap for moving the locker arm to an unlocked position. A resilient element is arranged for applying an urging pressure against the locker arm so as to normally retain the locker arm in a locking position that the locker arm is biased against the locker latch so as to block up the ignition cap from being slid downward for ignition. A user must operate the operation button for moving the locker arm away from the locking latch, so that the ignition cap is capable of being slid downward to ignite the piezoelectric lighter.

  • Patent number: 6746233
Abstract: A semi-automatic gas pilot clean-out device and a gas pilot with the device useful in agricultural brooders and other appliances that utilize a gas pilot as an ignition source. The device has a plunger rod with a clean-out pin attached to one end and a push button assembly attached to the other end. The assembly when mounted within a gas pilot housing can be actuated by manually pressing the button of the assembly to move the plunger rod toward a gas outlet of the gas pilot so that the tip of the clean-out pin passes through the gas outlet, removing debris therefrom. When pressure is no longer applied to the button, the assembly returns to an open position.

  • Patent number: 6736635
Abstract: The present invention provides a burner for use in a combustion-type waste gas treatment system for combusting waste gases emitted from semiconductor manufacturing system, particularly, a deposition gas containing SiH4 and a halogen-base gas, simultaneously at a high efficiency of destruction, making it difficult for a powder of SiO2 to be attached and deposited, performing a low-NOx combustion, and maintaining a desired level of safety. The combustion-type waste gas treatment system has a flame stabilizing zone (15), which is open toward a combustion chamber (11), surrounded by a peripheral wall (12), and closed by a plate (14) remotely from the combustion chamber. A waste gas, an auxiliary combustible agent, and air are introduced into and mixed with each other in the flame stabilizing zone (15), and the mixed gases are ejected toward the combustion chamber (11) perpendicularly to the plate (14).

  • Patent number: 6736130
Abstract: The primary object of the present invention is to provide an inexpensive fryer, and a further object is to improve thermal efficiency and make cleanup easier. A box-shaped oil vat 10 in which cooking oil is filled has a bottom wall portion 11 that is formed sloping downward toward the rear of the fryer. A burner 20 is provided at the bottom wall portion 11, with which a wide heating area can be secured. An exhaust duct 30 for conveying combustion gas from the burner 20 to the outside the fryer is provided around the oil vat 10 for securing the heated area. With this configuration, it is possible to inhibit the radiation of heat from the cooking oil while promoting the heat exchange between the combustion gas and the cooking oil. Moreover, the cooking oil can be adequately heated by simply providing a single burner 20, so manufacturing costs are not increased.

  • Patent number: 6705309
Abstract: A self-heating container (10) has an internal cavity (22) for its contents and an external cavity (20) for a heating mechanism, for example, comprised of first and second chemically reactive materials which are arranged to be mixed when heating is required. A closure (30) closes the external cavity (20). When the heating mechanism is operated to mix the chemicals and cause an exothermic reaction, vapor, such as steam and hot air, is produced. The vapor is constrained to flow to the exterior of the closure (30) through grooves (62) therein. A sleeve (60) is arranged around the container (10) contiguous to the closure (30) such that the exiting vapor is constrained to flow between the sleeve (30) and the can (10). By this means, a user of the can is protected from coming into contact with the hot steam and air and the heat in the vapor generated can enhance the heating process.
