  • Patent number: 6595770
Abstract: A safety device for ignition gun mainly has a knob, a push button, a spring, and a reed piece, disposed in the housing of an ignition gun, in which both the knob and the push button are slidable relatively to the housing while the reed piece is fixedly positioned in the housing; and the spring is arranged between a base, which is jointed to the push button, and the housing structure such that a projecting portion of the base confronts against a bottom edge of the knob to keep the knob immovable under normal conditions. When the push button is pushed to have the projecting portion checked by a barb of the reed piece, the projecting portion is meanwhile released from the bondage of the knob such that the knob would become depressible, and during a depression travel of the knob, the reed piece is depressed and the barb would depart from the projecting portion to restore the push button to its original position.

  • Patent number: 6579089
Abstract: A floating candle holder is provided that includes: an anchor portion formed of a material having a density greater than that of water; a candle having a wick, the candle positioned above the anchor portion; and a shield portion having an opening defined in the top thereof for changing the candle, the shield portion positioned above the anchor portion, about the candle, and extending above the top of the wick of the candle by an amount that is at least 0.7 times as high as the largest horizontal internal dimension of the opening defined in the top of the shield portion. The anchor portion and shield portion are adapted to float the candle on water. The water line of the floating candle holder is within the bottom two-thirds of the overall height of the floating candle holder, and the center of gravity is below the water line, whereby the location of the center of gravity below the water line helps stabilize the floating candle holder against being capsized by winds.

  • Patent number: 6575733
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for combustion of fuels of arbitrary state of aggregation, which are burnt with air, possibly with the addition of water, and a reactor therefore, which is intended to optimize the combustion method. A solid, liquid and/or gaseous fuel, possibly water and/or an oxidizing agent are introduced into a reaction chamber (2) in its axial direction under high pressure, the amount of injected pressurized air corresponding to the amount of air necessary for the complete combustion, and the introduced mixture is led to a deflection surface (7) in the interior of the reaction chamber (2), whereby it is atomized, sublimates and/or evaporates and burns explosively, before it can reach the wall or the bottom of the reaction chamber (2).

  • Patent number: 6554608
Abstract: An apparatus and method for operating a pilot burner apparatus and a main burner apparatus of a gas-fired appliance. The pilot burner apparatus draws combustion air from a first environment. The main combustion apparatus draws air from a second environment. In a shutdown condition, such as when a flammable vapor source is accidentally exposed to the second environment, the pilot burner apparatus draws air containing an undesired flammable vapor which eliminates the pilot flame, triggering a gas valve to close and shut down the fuel gas supply to the main burner apparatus and the pilot burner apparatus.
