Abstract: Provided are a method and an apparatus for searching for and acquiring information under a computing environment. The apparatus includes: at least one input device configured to receive a first query input of a first query type and a second query input of a second query type; and a controller configured to output a query input window including a first display item corresponding to the first query input and a second display item corresponding to the second query input, to automatically switch, in response to receiving the first query input, the apparatus from a first state to receive the first query input of the first query type to a second state to receive the second query input of the second query type, and to obtain a search result according to a query based on the first query input and the second query input.

Abstract: A method including configuring a first device to determine, during communication between the first device and a second device for establishing a meshnet connection between the first device and the second device, presence of a conflict as to which device, between the first device and the second device, is to operate as an initiating device that is responsible for transmitting an initiation communication for establishing the meshnet connection; and configuring the first device to resolve the conflict based at least in part on the first device adjusting operation of the first device to operate as a responding device, that is responsible for responding to the initiating communication, or based at least in part on the first device transmitting a message to the second device indicating that the second device is to operate as the responding device. Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to a dynamic, flexible acronym decoder. A user may submit a query via one of a plurality of user interfaces. Information describing the user may be received to generate a context vector for the user. The query may be processed against a database of terms using the context vector, a machine learning model, and content tags applied to terms in the database. Processing the queries against the database may return a result set, and the ML model may be used to compute a score for each result. The results may be ordered based on the scores and returned as responsive to the query.

Abstract: A method including determining, by a first device during communication with a second device for establishing a meshnet connection between the first device and the second device, that both the first device and the second device are operating as an initiating device that is responsible for transmitting an initiation communication for establishing the meshnet connection; comparing, based at least in part on determining that both the first device and the second device are operating as an initiating device, a communication condition associated with the first device with a communication condition associated with the second device; and determining, based at least in part on a result of comparing the communication condition, that the first device is to operate as the initiating device or that the second device is to operate as the initiating device. The UDF is executed on the database data to generate results data. The results data is converted to table results data. The table results data is associated with the initial set of data types. The table results data is stored in the distributed database.

Abstract: A method for forming a cluster of nodes. The method includes obtaining first information associated with a predetermined number of nodes in the cluster. The method also includes determining an administrative role of the first node based on the obtained first information. The method also includes, as a result of determining that the administrative role of the first node is a first role, broadcasting a first broadcast message, thereby enabling a plurality of nodes that are not in the cluster to receive the first broadcast message, wherein the plurality of nodes that are not in the cluster includes at least a second node, the first broadcast message comprising second information for controlling the timing at which each node within the plurality of nodes transmits to the first node a response message responsive to the broadcast message. The method also includes receiving a first response message responsive to the first broadcast message, wherein the first response message was transmitted by the second node.

Abstract: A configurable management system for a vehicle includes a receiving unit adapted to receive a message associated with a vehicle resource from a communication network of the vehicle. A control unit is adapted to determine a vehicle resource associated with the received message. An integration unit includes an external network connected to the control unit and the integration unit further includes at least one node, wherein the at least one node is configured to send an external message on the external network to the control unit. The control unit converts the external message to a suitable message that is sent to the vehicle resource.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program code to propose annotations are provided which include identifying an input, applying a grouping model to the input to predict at least a first grouping concept associated with the input, comparing the at least first grouping concept to a set of relationship data to select at least a first ranking model, applying the at least first ranking model to the input to predict at least a first ranking concept associated with the input, and causing a user interface to display the input, the at least first grouping concept and the at least first ranking concept to a user as proposed annotations of the input.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for dynamic web streaming of media content without restore and batch processing. The system and method provides for a partial restore of media content, where a small sub-section of the archived media is requested by a user, for inclusion in an edit. The exemplary system and method provides a web server that offers grains for any part of an archived monolithic file to be made available just-in-time, instead of the batch processing. Because grains are available over HTTP, any part of the customer's archive is available to them instantly and dynamically with no restore process being required at all.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for identifying relevant information for an entity, referred to as a seed entity. A plurality of search queries can be generated each comprising a property of a seed entity or one of the entities associated with the seed entity (seed-linked entities). Preferably, a collection of search queries includes ones representing different properties of the seed entity and properties of different seed-linked entities. Optionally, the collection of search queries is optimized to reduce search burden. Searches can then be conducted with the search queries in one or more data sources to obtain a plurality of search results, wherein each search result comprises a hit entity and one or more entities associated with the hit entity (hit-linked entity).

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and an electronic device for processing a data transaction are disclosed. The method includes receiving an application request from a client to perform a data operation in a target data partition; creating a corresponding data transaction according to the application request, and assigning a transaction identifier to the data transaction; returning the transaction identifier that is assigned to the data transaction to the client; performing the data operation based on the target data partition according to the data operation carrying the transaction identifier and sent by the client; and processing the data transaction according to a transaction instruction sent by the client. The method enables a data operation to implement transactional attributes, and to satisfy a transactional nature of the data operation. Moreover, the service logic of data transactions implemented by the method is relatively simple, thus ensuring that data services have a good transactional nature.

Abstract: The described technology relates to rendering a client-side user interface using a server-side cache for providing the displayed data. In an example implementation, in response to a user interface (e.g., dashboard with multiple widgets in a web application) being launched on the client device, the server initiates a refresh of the cache for the widgets; and transmits a first set of data obtained from the cache for widgets in the user interface before the cache is updated in response to the initiated refresh. The first set of data is followed by a second set of data obtained from the cache for at least some of the widgets after the cache is updated in response to the initiated refresh. The client displays the user interface using the second set of data while overwriting, for one or more of the widgets, information previously displayed using the first set of data.

Abstract: The present approach relates to event monitoring and management of an instance using a generated service map, allowing monitoring of CIs (e.g., applications) and connections that are currently active in a user's specific instance. A self-monitoring solution is generated for a user (e.g., via an application) that depicts status, configuration, and errors related to the user's instance. In certain implementations, the present techniques involve applying internal knowledge of the working of a user's instance and applications to perform the self-monitoring, and determine when an alert should be generated. Further, the present techniques may involve making a determination to provide a user with a self-help solution in addition or based on the self-monitoring of the user's instance.

The device translates the LOD expression into one or more executable database queries referencing the identified data fields. The computing device executes the queries to retrieve data from the data source. The computing device generates and displays a data visualization using the retrieved data.

Abstract: Techniques for group message thread link administration are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a client front-end component operative to receive a join invitation command associated with a group message thread from an administrator client device, the group message thread associated with a message thread identifier, the message thread identifier identifying the group message thread on a messaging system; and send a join invitation link to the administrator client device; and a group management component operative to generate a join invitation link in response to the join invitation command, the join invitation link comprising a thread invitation identifier, wherein the thread invitation identifier is a hash of the message thread identifier.
