  • Patent number: 9768898
Abstract: One embodiment of the present specification provides a reception method for a terminal supporting cooperative multi-point (CoMP). The reception method for the terminal may comprise the steps of: receiving a signal which indicates that a channel state indicator-reference signal (CSI-RS) port and a cell-specific reference signal (CRS) port are almost quasi co-located; and determining a frequency offset between a CRS and a demodulation-reference signal (DM-RS), which is quasi co-located with the CRS, on the basis of the signal which indicates that the CSI-RS port and the CRS port are almost quasi co-located. Herein the frequency offset between the CRS and the DM-RS may be within 50 Hz.

  • Patent number: 9743368
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for synchronizing devices corresponding to a customer are described. A plurality of devices are associated with a customer record. The customer indicates which one or ones of the devices are to be synchronized from a content playback perspective. Content delivery delays based on a time stamp included in content sent to the devices to be synchronized is determined by the devices and reported to a control device. Transmission of on-demand content is adjusted on a per device basis, e.g., delayed or advanced, to achieve synchronized delivery. For content transmitted according to a schedule, a delay may be communicated to the playback device and the device delays output of received content to synchronize output with other devices. Customer premise records include a list of devices to be synchronized along with transmission and/or output timing adjustment information on a per device basis.

  • Patent number: 9699088
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to achieve traffic flow control in accordance with traffic priority as well as service plan considerations. A weight for flow control and a per service plan minimum flow control meter (FCM) can be defined for different throttle rates for different service plans. An FCM value based upon traffic priority can be converted to a per service plan group FCM value so that each service plan can be assigned/configured with its own FCM for each uplink queue. An average throttled data rate is then calculated to determine whether the traffic in a particular gateway is under or over throttled based on the current per service plan FCM with current input data rates. The per service plan FCM can then be revised for use by an Internet Protocol Gateway sending traffic to a Satellite Gateway.
