  • Patent number: 9681453
Abstract: A method for establishing wireless communication between a transmitter and a receiver in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The receiver includes an adaptive array that has at least two antennas. Each antenna receives a signal and produces a received signal. The transmitter includes at least two transmission channels for communicating the signal from the transmitter to the receiver. The wireless communication system suppresses interference at the receiver by applying an interference suppression technique when combining the received signals. The selection of a channel at the transmitter is based on the channel performance at the receiver for each transmission channel. The channel performance is based on a combining technique different from the interference suppression technique.

  • Patent number: 9674823
Abstract: A method is described for transmitting uplink control information at a communication apparatus configured with a plurality of cells including a Primary Cell (PCell) and a Secondary Cell (SCell) in a wireless communication system operating in a Time Division Duplex (TDD) mode. One or more downlink signals requiring Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest Acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback are received in a set of subframes. Reception response information about the one or more downlink signals is transmitted through a Physical Uplink Control CHannel (PUCCH) on a subframe configured for Scheduling Request (SR) transmission. When a predetermined condition is not satisfied, the reception response information and SR information are multiplexed and transmitted using a first HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource. When the predetermined condition is satisfied, for a positive SR, the reception response information includes information about an ACK count for the one or more downlink signals and is transmitted using a SR PUCCH resource.

  • Patent number: 9667497
Abstract: An access point information handling system (IHS) group management system includes a group management IHS that is coupled to a plurality of access point IHSs through a network. The group management IHS receives a group request from a first access point IHS, then retrieves group configuration information from the group configuration database using information about the first access point IHS, and uses the group configuration information to determine an access point IHS group. The access point IHS group includes the first access point IHS and at least one second access point IHS. The group management IHS then determines an access point IHS group controller that is one of the first access point IHS and the at least one second access point IHS. The group management IHS then identifies the access point IHS group and the access point IHS group controller to the first access point IHS.

  • Patent number: 9667536
Abstract: In one embodiment, data packet messages are received in a Field Area Router (FAR) sent from one or more sources toward one or more destination devices in a Low-Power Lossy Network (LLN). An LLN routing topology for the data packet messages is interpolated in the FAR. An expected time for the data packet messages to reach a destination device in the LLN is determined based upon the routing topology interpolation. Traffic shaping is applied by the FAR for the data packet messages based upon the determined expected time for the data packet messages to reach destination devices in the LLN.

  • Patent number: 9668249
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a terminal device, which, when ARQ is used for communication that uses an uplink unit band and a plurality of downlink unit bands associated with the uplink unit band, and when a transmission mode that supports up to 2 TB in a PCell is set in the terminal, is capable of reducing the amount of signaling from a base station while eliminating a lack of PUCCH resources when semi-permanent scheduling (SPS) is used in the PCell. A control unit in this device selects one value among values obtained by adding 1 to four PUCCH resource indexes, which have been preset for PUCCH resource 1 by the base station, on the basis of values for transmission power control information (TPC command for PUCCH) in a PDCCH, for which notification has been received at the start of SPS.

  • Patent number: 9660829
Abstract: A VLAN is implemented with a logical hub and spoke topology that obviates local switching. Member devices are connected to a hub device such as a router via intermediate devices such as Layer 2 switches that support individual IP subnets within the VLAN. The Layer 2 switch does not allow bridging, so there is no IP subnet broadcast domain. Further, the Layer 2 switch implements only a single logical broadcast uplink port which is connected to the router. The Layer 2 switch also implements only point-to-point downlink ports, i.e., to individual member devices. Consequently, all traffic is forced to flow through the router, e.g., broadcast traffic, multicast traffic and traffic of unknown destination received by the Layer 2 switch from a member device is only flooded to the router, and the router performs intra-subnet routing in addition to routing between subnets and between VLANs.

  • Patent number: 9661508
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for estimating a signal by a wireless device in a wireless communication system. The wireless device obtains a scaling factor that describes a relation between signal estimates for first and second signals of a first type. The wireless device further obtains a reference signal estimate that comprises a signal estimate for a first signal of a second type. The wireless device then selectively determines at the wireless device a signal estimate for a second signal of the second type by scaling the reference signal estimate by the scaling factor. The first signals of the first and second type are associated with a first radio network node. The second signals of the first and second type are associated with a second radio network node.

  • Patent number: 9660879
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to monitoring flows of packets over a network. If a network monitoring computer (NMC) in a cluster of NMCs observes a new network flow, the NMC may perform a variety of actions to determine the NMC that is responsible for monitoring the new network flow. Network traffic associated with the new network flow may be buffered in a non-transitory processor readable media. The new network flow may be registered with the plurality of NMCs, providing an identifier that corresponds to one NMC. Registering may include, assigning the NMC a responsibility to monitor the new network flow. If the identifier corresponds to the NMC that observed the new network flow, the network traffic associated with the new network flow is processed using that NMC. If the identifier corresponds to another NMC, the buffered network traffic is forwarded to the other NMC.

  • Patent number: 9654259
Abstract: The invention provides a base station that does not cause the number of blind decodings to be increased and further can prevent the flexibility of resource allocation from degrading. A search space setting unit (103) sets search spaces each of which is constituted by one or more control channel elements (CCEs) and each of which is to be decoded in the terminals and each of which is defined by a plurality of to-be-decoded candidates. An allocating unit (108) places, in one of the plurality of to-be-decoded candidates included in the search space, a control channel. The number of connections of CCEs constituting the to-be-decoded candidate is associated with the number of to-be-decoded candidates. The search space setting unit (103) causes, in accordance with the control channel to be transmitted, the association of the number of connections of CCEs constituting the to-be-decoded candidate with the number of to-be-decoded candidates to differ.

  • Patent number: 9654271
Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for transmitting acknowledgement/negative ACK (ACK/NACK) in a wireless communication system which supports carrier aggregation, and to an apparatus for the method. A method in which a terminal transmits ACK/NACK in a wireless communication system that supports carrier aggregation comprises the following steps: receiving a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH); receiving a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) indicated by the PDCCH; and transmitting ACK/NACK for the PDSCH via a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). A PUCCH format for transmitting ACK/NACK is selected by taking the number of aggregated carriers into account.
