Abstract: Methods and systems for analyzing vehicle operation data associated with a temporary or periodic usage of a vehicle by a driver. In aspects, the driver may associate with an electronic device within the vehicle that may record or collect the vehicle operation data. After the vehicle operation has concluded, the vehicle operation data may be analyzed to assess a performance of the driver during operation of the vehicle, whereby the performance may be influenced by positive or negative driving events. Based on the performance of the driver, a profile or account of the user may be processed accordingly such that the user may be incentivized to modify certain driving behaviors.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for issuing and settling electronic coupons. A financial service host may receive authorization and settlement information, wherein the authorization and settlement information comprises an account number of the consumer. The account number may be linked to an account of the consumer enrolled in an electronic coupon program. The methods and system may also include transmitting a notification to the consumer that indicates the electronic coupon has been redeemed. A monetary value associated with the electronic coupon may be debited from an account linked to the merchant, and the account of the consumer may be credited with the monetary value associated with the electronic coupon.

Abstract: Techniques include receiving a search query from a user device and performing a search of a data store using the query. The data store includes function records that each include an application access mechanism (AAM) that specifies a native application and indicates one or more operations for the application to perform, and application state information (ASI) that describes a state of the application after it has performed the operations. The techniques further include identifying a function record during the search based on matches between terms of the query and terms of the ASI of the function record. The techniques include selecting the AAM of the identified function record, and determining that the native application specified by the AAM is unavailable on the user device. The techniques also include generating an advertisement for the unavailable application and transmitting the AAM and the advertisement to the user device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for federating social network content items include determining an engagement value for content items based on previous interactions with content items from first and second content item sources stored in an electronic data storage, certain content items having selection metrics and value metrics according to varying selection schemas and a value schema. A utility value is generated for each of the at least some of the content items, the utility value including an engagement component and a monetary component. A user device displays the content items in an order based on the utility values.

Abstract: A method and system of providing advertising to a moving target vehicle. At least one sensor device coupled to a moving advertising vehicle detecting a parameter associated with the moving target vehicle. The detected parameter is received by a global positioning system (GPS) device. Advertising content data pertaining to a topic associated with identification data is obtained. The topic was determined from matching identification data associated with the detected parameter to advertising correlation data. The identification data was determined from matching the detected parameter to data in a personal database. Vehicle data is determined by the at least one sensor device and/or the GPS device in the advertising vehicle. Display of the advertising content data is initiated on a display device in the advertising vehicle to display the advertising content data to the target vehicle according to at least one display parameter that is based on the vehicle data.

Abstract: A method and system for establishing a group of users and providing item recommendations tailored for the group are described. Users can join a recommendation huddle for the purpose of viewing collective item recommendations tailored for the users participating in the recommendation huddle. The item recommendations can be based on the recommendation profiles of participating users, the nature of the item recommendations to be provided (e.g., movies, restaurants, activities, songs, or the like), and other context information. Recommendations, including information about the recommended items, are provided to users participating in the recommendation huddle. In some embodiments, participating users can vote or otherwise provide feedback on the provided recommendations. One or more final selections can be made based on the recommendations and feedback.

Abstract: Systems and methods for customer relationship management are disclosed. In one example, a customer relationship management system can receive, from a customer device, a customer location and a request for a sales representative. In response, the customer relationship management system can send, for display to a sales representative device, the customer location and then receive, from the sales representative device, a request for customer profile information. In response to this request, the customer relationship management system can send, for display to the sales representative device, at least some of the customer profile information.

Abstract: A system and method for pricing and exchanging content is provided, which includes a data plane formed by a peer-to-peer content sharing network or a central server allowing for client-server content transfers, and a control plane formed by a central server in communication with the data plane via the Internet. The data plane allows for the storage of digital content provided by users and the transfer of content therebetween, and the control plane provides a virtual market in which such content is sold between users using virtual currency that can be exchanged for real currency.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating human readable natural language summary for campaign audience are provided. The system includes a memory storing a database including audience segments and tags related to the audience segments. A computer server is in communication with the memory and the database, the computer server programmed to: obtain campaign delivery feed data related to a plurality of campaigns from at least one advertiser in a preset time period; obtain audience feed data including tag information from a data provider; cluster the tag information to find term frequencies for each term in the tag information; identify human understandable terms from the clustered tag information by removing noisy terms; and generate a human understandable report using the human understandable terms in a timely fashion.

Abstract: The invention relates to a computer-implemented system and method for enabling the use of rewards cash or points with a mobile device at a merchant's point of sale device, according to one example. The method may comprise the steps of: acquiring information about the location of a mobile device of an account holder; sending information to the mobile device identifying one or more nearby merchants at which the account holder is able to make a payment with the mobile device using a rewards currency associated with an account of the account holder; sending to the mobile device an available rewards currency amount that can be applied to a purchase; receiving a selected rewards currency amount that the account holder elects to apply to the purchase; and initiating a generation of an electronic payment signal by the mobile device for the total purchase amount.

Abstract: An app server receives a device token from a software application on a mobile device. The device token identifies the mobile device for pushing notification messages of the software application to the mobile device via a push notification system. The mobile device is monitored while accessing the Internet in order to detect when the user may benefit from upgraded access to the Internet. The app server then sends one or more notification message(s) to the user such as by sending a message to the device token of the mobile device via the push notification system or to a display device associated with the user at the hospitality establishment. The notification message invites the user to upgrade their Internet access. The push notification system alerts the user to the notification message via the user interface of the mobile device even when the software application is not running on the mobile device.

Abstract: A mobile device with a display, processor(s), and memory: displays promotional offers; detects a user input selecting one of the promotional offers; and initiates performance of a transaction with an automatic retail machine to purchase a product stocked by the automatic retail machine. The mobile device also: receives a transaction completion notification from the payment module indicating that the product corresponding to the selected promotional offer was vended by the automatic retail machine; and, in response to receiving the transaction completion notification, provides a prompt to the user of the mobile device to obtain a product code for the vended product to validate the promotional offer. A gift request is received from the online user. The gift request may specify an online recipient user and a selected online promotional gift (e.g., an action movie). The online promotional gift is provided to the online recipient user. In this way, online users may promote a service by providing promotional gifts, such as for free, to online recipient users.

Abstract: When a user accesses an advertisement site by a browser unit and requests transmission of the advertisement moving image, an advertisement server requests the user to connect an electronic money card to a reader/writer. The advertisement server can communicate with the electronic money card via the browser unit. Thus, the advertisement server reads an electronic money functional unit ID which is ID information of the electronic money card from the electronic money card to store it therein, and further transmits to the user terminal moving image data of the advertisement moving image stored in the advertisement moving image database. While the user terminal is reproducing the advertisement moving image, the advertisement server accesses the electronic money card through the browser unit for every given interval, and confirms that the electronic money card is connected to the reader/writer.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for tracking advertisement effectiveness. First information associated with desired advertising information is broadcast from at least one of a plurality of fixed information nodes. A mobile unit receives the broadcast information and outputs the desired advertising information. An advertisement counter is started at the time of receipt of the broadcast information and presence information is broadcast from at least one of a plurality of fixed monitoring nodes over a restricted broadcast range, which at least one fixed monitoring node is disposed in a predetermined fixed physical proximity with a vendor location. The broadcast presence information is received at the mobile unit and a presence counter is started in response to receipt of the presence information. At the mobile unit loss of receipt of the broadcast presence information, the presence counter is stopped.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for monetizing future location of users includes identifying indicator(s) retrieved from log data or an electronic declaration that indicate a possibility that a user will be at a specific location in the future; generating a probability that the user will be at the specific location in the future based on the indicator(s); and charging an advertiser a cost for an impression to which to serve a location-specific advertisement targeted to the user, the cost charged being greater when the probability is greater that the user will be at the specific location in the future. The method may be extended to targeting a group of users that expect to be at the same location at the future point in time. Monetization of future locations may depend on the quality and/or quantity of the log data and declarations of future locations and on a number of users in a group of users if monetized according to the group.

Abstract: A method comprising calculating a third party solicitation fee for a third party, receiving, from a third party server, a third party solicitation on behalf of the third party, sending the third party solicitation to a user apparatus in response to the receipt of the third party solicitation, the third party solicitation comprising a request for a specified action, receiving information indicative of the user apparatus performing the specified action, and decreasing the third party solicitation fee based, at least in part, on the receipt of the information indicative of the user apparatus performing the specified action is disclosed.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for dynamically generating text associated with an advertisement are provided. Core text associated with an advertisement is received from an advertiser, as is at least one attribute relevant to the advertiser and/or a user. Based upon the received attribute(s), it is determined whether customization of the core text is desired. If customization is desired, the core text is modified and presented in association with the advertisement. If customization is not desired, the core text is presented in association with the advertisement. In one embodiment, target advertisement placement information may also be utilized to determine whether customization of the core text is desired.
