  • Patent number: 11810060
Abstract: A merchant can use an e-commerce platform to sell products to customers, and customers can use the e-commerce platform to return items that they are unsatisfied with back to the merchant. These product returns have an associated cost. Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to computer-implemented systems and methods to enable customer-to-customer product returns in an e-commerce platform. In a customer-to-customer return, a first customer that wants to return an item of a particular product is connected with a second customer that wants to purchase that product. The e-commerce platform then facilitates a shipment of the item from the first customer directly to the second customer. Embodiments of the present disclosure include online store implementations of customer-to-customer returns, online marketplace implementations of customer-to-customer returns, and customer-to-customer returns implemented using orders for returned items.

  • Patent number: 11803891
Abstract: An online concierge system maintains a graph of items available for purchase. The graph maintains edges between items, where an edge between an item and an additional item indicates that one or more customers have previously replaced the item with the additional item. The edge between the item and the additional item also identifies a number of times customers have replaced the item with the additional item. When a customer orders an item, the online concierge system traverses the graph of items to identify candidate replacement items for the ordered item and identifies one or more of the candidate replacement items to the customer. When identifying the candidate replacement items, the online concierge system accounts for distance between the ordered item and different candidate replacement items in the item graph.

  • Patent number: 11790432
Abstract: Systems and methods for assessing the needs of customers using predictive modeling techniques are disclosed. The method receives customer data from a first database and provided by the user. The method generates an instruction to a second database and receives additional customer information received from external databases to generate a basic profile for data based on the customer. The system further analyzes data provided by the user. The method generates a customer profile based on the basic customer data and additional data. The method determines missing data from the customer profile associated and a set of attributes of the user. The method identifies a profile with the customer similar set of attributes and estimates the missing data using predictive modeling techniques to generate estimated customer information. The system further pre-populates one or more missing fields of the full profile associated with the customer based on said estimated customer information. The system.

  • Patent number: 11748793
Abstract: Techniques are described, as implemented by computing devices, to control access to transactions through use of tokenized reputation scores. This is performed by leveraging a blockchain such that a tokenized reputation score is generated or calculated based on an amount of reputation tokens associated with a blockchain account address associated with a service provider account, and by making transactional functionality available to the service provider account based on a comparison of a tokenized reputation score affiliated with the service provider account with a threshold score associated with a transaction.

  • Patent number: 11734735
Abstract: A system configured as an online marketplace with a high-speed, game-like method for determining which users obtain which products or services in the marketplace is disclosed. One implementation provides a mobile application where users swipe through a presentation of items (products, services, or money) that they can obtain. Users earn credits by giving items or money to other users. Then, they redeem these credits by getting items or money from other users. Thus, a given user alternates between being a “giver” and a “getter,” making pairs of asynchronous trades with two other users. In the selection process to choose an item to receive, users can choose any single item, but may only swipe unidirectionally, meaning that they cannot return and see or choose an item previously rejected. Aspects include a game engine and a set of rules and constraints to create a novel experience for transactional based experiences such as shopping and reservations.

  • Patent number: 11687987
Abstract: In response to detecting that a first selectable element on a webpage or application page of a merchant has been accessed by a user, a computer system stores a visual representation of an item that corresponds to the first selectable element in a first space of the user. In response to detecting a selection of a second selectable element from within the first space, the computer system determines a threshold number of users to associate with the visual representation and creates a post in a network feed that includes the visual representation, wherein a third selectable element is associated with the post, that when selected, causes a user to join or vote for the first visual representation. In response to determining that a number of users that have selected the third selectable element meets the threshold number of users, the computer system initiates a group purchase for the item.

  • Patent number: 11682057
Abstract: Techniques are described for a management system to facilitate a negotiation process and payment for a requested resource between a vehicle and a supplier machine. The vehicle sends a request for the resource to the management system. In response, the management system is configured to identify a set of candidate supplier machines from a plurality of supplier machines that provide the requested resource in accordance with one or more resource parameters. The management system then initiates a negotiation process with each of the supplier machines within the set of candidate supplier machines based on one or more negotiation parameters. Once a transaction for the requested resource is agreed upon, the management system forms a smart contract between the vehicle, the supplier machine, and the management system. The management system executes the smart contract once the resource request is fulfilled to disburse funds from the vehicle to the supplier machine.

  • Patent number: 11663637
Abstract: A networked system comprises a main controller that allows users to act as customers, promoters or merchants of smart articles that are displayed by promoters who have purchased these articles from the merchants. The customer uses a controller device to access data from the smart article by capturing an identifying marker on the article and transmitting the foregoing data to the main controller which places the customer in communication with a merchant controller associated with the merchant from whom the promoter purchased the article. The merchant can thus provide data regarding the article to the customer via the main controller and depending on how the customer acts, the merchant can allocate a reward to the promoter via a promoter controller associated therewith.

  • Patent number: 11663636
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a part for a vehicle. The vehicle's vehicle identification number is determined, and the vehicle's manufacture information is determined. A specific part for the particular vehicle is identified. Whether a part code zone for the part exists on a vehicle identification label (VIN Label) is determined. If the part code zone exists on the VIN Label, then a zonal optical character recognition procedure is performed on the VIN Label and a part code in the part code zone is extracted. Or if the part code zone does not exist on the VIN Label, then a list of parts for the vehicle is determined based on the vehicle's manufacture information and the part is selected from the list of parts.
