Abstract: A method for matching a client with a service provider is provided. The method includes receiving a request for a service from a client device, selecting one or more service providers based on the location indicated for the service, comparing the request to one or more profiles for the one or more service providers and to available services times, generating at least one bid for the service based on the one or more profiles, and sending the at least one bid to the client device. Sending the at least one bid includes obfuscating, to the client device, the identity of the one or more service providers corresponding to the at least one bid. The method also includes receiving from the client device a selection of one of the at least one bids and sending to the client device the specific identity of the one or more service providers.

Abstract: An information distribution system includes an electronic device; and a server system including at least one information distribution apparatus that communicates with the electronic device via a network. The electronic device includes an information requester configured to transmit, to the server system, a request to distribute information, the request being transmitted together with identification information of the electronic device; and an information displayer configured to display, on a display device, the information transmitted from the server system.

Abstract: A merchant can use an e-commerce platform to sell products to customers, and customers can use the e-commerce platform to return items that they are unsatisfied with back to the merchant. These product returns have an associated cost. Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to computer-implemented systems and methods to enable customer-to-customer product returns in an e-commerce platform. In a customer-to-customer return, a first customer that wants to return an item of a particular product is connected with a second customer that wants to purchase that product. The e-commerce platform then facilitates a shipment of the item from the first customer directly to the second customer. Embodiments of the present disclosure include online store implementations of customer-to-customer returns, online marketplace implementations of customer-to-customer returns, and customer-to-customer returns implemented using orders for returned items.

Abstract: User interface technology related to a composite file or page (e.g., Webpage) including information from various entities (e.g., physical product providers) may be improved by providing a composite score (determined from one or more constituent parts) for each of the entities in a way that occupies less space than would otherwise been needed if constituent scores of each of the entities were provided. Such example embodiments may also improve user interface technology by reducing the cognitive load on a user reviewing information presented on a composite Webpage. This, in turn, reduces “friction” related to using and interacting with such a composite Webpage. Such example embodiments may also improve user interface technology by presenting information from various different entities in a uniform manner, with a consistent look and feel.

Abstract: A method stores, at a first computer system, first data associated with a user, a first portion of a first account number associated with the first data, and third data associated with the first data. An identity of the user is unidentifiable from the first data. The method receives, at the first computer system, a second portion of a second account number from a second computer system, second data generated by the second computer system based on electronically obtained identification information. The method transmits, by the first computer system, a message associated with the user based on the third data when the second data corresponds to the first data and the second portion of the second account number corresponds to the first portion of the first account number. The message is for completing a transaction, preventing a crime, making a statement, triggering a response, and/or giving an instruction.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic device and a payment method using the same. The electronic device comprises at least a processor, memory, and touch screen display, the memory storing a call application including a first user interface, a payment application, and instructions which cause the processor to: display the first user interface of the call application on the touch screen display; receive a phone number or indication of the phone number through the first user interface from a user; request a call connection to the phone number; receive data associated with to the phone number from a first server while the request is being made, the data including a currently available item; display the item on an interface while the request is being made; display an input button associated with the payment application; receive an input selecting the input button; and execute the payment application.

Abstract: A method for generating recommendations for a user from a product database is provided. The method comprises determining a taxonomy for the product database, said taxonomy comprising a plurality of attributes assigned to each product in the product database; performing an exploratory procedure in which the user is systematically exposed to products from the product database in order to test the user's preference for products in the product database, wherein the user preference is tested based on a user action; and generating a style profile for the user based on the user's indicated preferences.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for matching services to potential receivers of the services that includes registering at least one of service providers and service receivers as members to a service matching system. The service matching system collects data from the members. Permission to collect data from the members is revocable at any time by the members. The method further includes taking an order from a first service receiver to receive goods from a service provider; and calculating a route of the first service receiver to obtain the goods from the service provider. The method further includes matching the route of the first service receiver with a potential delivery route to a second service receiver having an order with the service provider; and offering a promotion to the first service receiver to deliver the order by the second service receiver with the service provider over the potential delivery route.

Abstract: A method and a system to determine a product identification of an item for sale in an online publication system is shown and described. For example, the method may be initiated when an input identifying an item is received from a user. An input type (e.g., image, text, audio recording, etc.) may be determined and one or more identification services may be selected based on the input type. At least a portion of the input is transmit to the selected one or more identification services. A product identification is received from each of the one or more identification services. Based on the received product identifications, a recommended product identification is determined. The recommended product identification is transmitted to the user.

Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for protecting users from security threats may include (i) receiving a photograph of a target that a user is attempting to acquire, (ii) extracting, from the photograph, an identifier of the target, (iii) applying the identifier of the target to a software security policy that indicates whether the target is safe for the user, and (iv) releasing locked resources to enable the user to acquire the target based on a determination that the software security policy indicates that the target is safe for the user. The shopping support system determines if the commodity has been postponed for later collection based on an action of the purchaser on the commodity at the sales floor. Then, the shopping support system provides a notification in response to a determination that the commodity has been postponed for later collection and is not collected for purchase by the purchaser.

Abstract: A software system operates to track transit times for shipments between facility locations within a supply chain. Carrier service level agreements are used to generate estimated transit times between a plurality of origins and destinations. Transit times are stored as edges between ZIP code nodes in a graph database. Facility locations are associated with the ZIP code node corresponding to their location. A user interface can access the data from the graph database to easily present the data to a user. In some examples, the data is stored based on ZIP code of each location. The user interface allows for 3 digit ZIP codes to be assigned to various user-defined regions to more easily manage the data on a broader level. Estimated transit times can also be accessed through an application programming interface for use by transportation management systems such as lead time estimation systems and inventory planning systems.

Abstract: A Product location system and method for storing and locating products within an establishment, comprising three main components: a data server, a location updating device, and a searching device. The data server stores the information associated with the products of the establishment and communicates with the location updating and searching devices, the location updating device associates identifying information of a product with identifying information of the location where the product is currently located, and the searching device accepts user parameters and gives a search result comprising all of the products which fall within the given parameters. The searching device also helps guide the user to the location of the product.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for location-based data tracking for dynamic data presentation on mobile devices. A user's device may be used to track user data for the user, including locations visited by the user and activities by the user at the locations. These may be correlated to likely behavior by the user at the location so that a predicted activity by the user at a location may be determined. Thus, when a user visits a location, the predicted activity of the user at the location may be determined. Using the predicted activity, application data for an application may be generated and may be dynamically presented through one or more interfaces of the user's device. This may be presented without user input at the location so that the user may quickly perform the activity through the user's device.
